  • In this episode I’m exploring Dijon, France!
This is the first stop before we joined the AmaWaterways AmaCello for our river cruise through Burgundy and Provence.
We explore everything Dijon has to offer including visiting some moutardaries, making a wish by touching the Owl of Dijon and exploring the streets. There are so many things to do in Dijon!
This is my first video in my AmaWaterways river cruise series on their Essence of Burgundy and Provence itinerary. To watch my entire experience sailing with AmaWaterways on the AmaCello, click here: • AmaWaterways River Cru...

I would really like to spend more time there, they have so much more to explore which we didn’t have time for.

Folks, please when you’re in Dijon, for pete’s sake dine at a Burgundian restaurant, not at an Alsatian one. Local roses are not really a thing, either. Nearly all Burgundies are red or white. Crepes and galettes are from Brittany, not Burgundy. The Burgundians enjoy deep local cuisine, including Boeuf Bourguignon, Escargot, Jambon Persille, and Oeufs en Meurette, none of which are featured in this video. The host may be forgiven as it is her first time there, but a little research beforehand might have helped to offer more informed content.

Yes, I am aware that some of the dining choices were not "Burgundian", however still French. We did try some other local restaurants that were recommended, however the food was not to our liking so we skipped showing a couple of the meals. Dijon is a town I highly recommend people and clients to visit. As this was my first time here, I learned about where to eat and where not to the hard way. I also had many Burgundian red and white wines in the days following Dijon :)
