  • The region of Burgundy, in France, is known all over the world for producing some of the best red wines in the world, although Burgundy also produces some great white wines.
    But beyond the Bourgogne wine route, there are tons of other things to do in Burgundy. Burgundy has a beautiful countryside with rolling hills and quaint medieval villages. Burgundy also offers lots of variety, with abbeys and monasteries, museums, hikes in natural parks, archeological sites, and the beautiful Burgundy canal.

    The canal is really a great thing to do. As you said you can bike or walk along the canal and visit all the beautiful villages like Chateauneuf en auxois. Perfect plan for chilling out.

      Not very far from Dijon. A small village called Sainte Marie sur Ouche if we remember correctly.

      Very hard question to answer, not knowing what you like. Domaine Senard took care of us very well. But the landscapes around Pouilly Fuissé were the most beautiful.

      It depends if you're going to stay in Dijon or if you want to move around to the various sites all over Burgundy.

      @@JamesandLaurent We will probably stay in Dijon for 1-2 days. But should we take the train from Paris to Dijon and then rent a car in Dijon? Or just rent the car from Paris? Is Dijon drivers friendly?

    I visited a Burgundian bunker and was forced by the soldiers to work restlessly there. Luckily I escaled with the help of free nations.

    It can be quite a disturbing place in an alternate timeline, they call it ordenstat burgundy and its ruled by aryan chiken man but lets just ignore that anyways I think it ended in a thermo-nuclear war or some stuff like that...
