I am also in the process of trying to find a blush shade that’s the closest to my all time fave.

    I’ve been on the hunt for a great color corrector for the past 2+ years. About 1 month ago I settled on trying the Flower Beauty. I like it, but it is too stiff a formula for me and not moisturizing enough. I ended up mixing it with the Undone concealer and now love the consistency.

    This was a great video! Thanks for putting in all the time and effort to be so thorough. My favorite has long been the Tarte corrector, but now that I’ve almost finished it, I’ve been comparing it to a couple of other correctors I just happened to have: the one from Kokie, from Becca/Smashbox, and from Bobbi Brown. So far the Tarte is still my favorite because I like the high coverage - but I do wish the finish wasn’t quite as radiant. The finish of the Smashbox corrector is far too dewy, emphasizing my undereye hollows, and the Kokie is a bit too dark for me in the winter. The Bobbi Brown one was too dry, so I wasn’t a huge fan of the finish. But the way you described the finish of the Charlotte Tilbury corrector intrigued me. That sounds like it might be in my “Goldilocks” zone.

    Have you tried Bobbi Brown's or Beauty Pie's color correctors? I have BB skin corrector stick in extra light bisque which goes on easy and blends easy, but I wish I would've gotten a darker shade. I was going off their website suggestion based on my skin tone but I saw a Sephora tutorial that said choose a color corrector that is just as dark peach or bisque as your undereye circle in order to properly neutralize it rather than just lighten it. So I'm going to try a darker shade next time. But I love the formula it is creamy and glides on and blends easier than any of the pot correctors. I got Beauty Pie's in their lightest shade and it did not completely cover but it brightened and was luminous like the Becca. It was difficult to spread and blend without using a silicone based primer or eye cream underneath. I too wish I would've gotten the medium more peachy shade instead, maybe it would've neutralized my dark blue/purple circles better. It definitely covers better than just concealer alone. I'd say out of all of the cc I have ever tried, the BB skin corrector stick is my favorite formula. I just wish it was fuller coverage and less expensive or has more product. You don't get very much for $30+. I got BP for only $15 due to 50% off sale. Thanks to your reviews I won't waste money on the C.T. or Sigma ones since neither are full coverage they won't be worth the $30 price tag to me.

    Impressed by this video, and really usefull info! My first color corrector that I bought was the Charlotte Tilbury one, and I really liked it and used it up fully. What I really enjoyed was probably the color (fair) that I could put on without anything Else if I was in a hurry and just wanted a little brightness under my eyes Even if I was at my palest or a little tan. I then earlier this year bought the smashbox/BECCA one since that has been so hyped for years! Definitely more «wet» than CT, but also more pink and very light reflecting. Could have a lot to do with my undertone, but that one I more so use if I’m putting more makeup over it. It’s a little Too pink to where I can use it by itself all year, but definitely do the job and I do like it! Will however probably not repurchase it just because I have a more light warm undertone and it’s not as universal for when I have a tan due to the pinkiness, but will keep this video in mind for my next purchase 😍 Maybe I will go for the CT again (that btw looked so good on you in the footage I would say), but I also love testing new thing so maybe one of these other ones instead!

    • @TooMuchTash
      @TooMuchTash  Před rokem +2

      I do the exact same thing with the Charlotte Tilbury one! It's close enough to my skintone that it isn't too brightening, while the Becca one would look weird without concealer and powder on top ❤️

    THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video!
    I too, loved the NYX one and just recently ran out of it, RIP, so I was trying to reasearch what colour corrector to buy next and found so little useful content on the topic.
    I have a question, which one do you think is the most like the NYX one? Both in colour and formula. It was pretty much perfect for me (used shade Fair) and I can't really afford to try them all and see for myself unfortunately, plus some aren't accessible to me.
    In the meantime, I'll add my review of the 2 I bought since then (for context: I am 25, minimal tiny, fine lines, have mostly oily skin, but my undereyes tend to be drier, skin tone is light to fair yellowy (maybe olive?), I wear Maybelline Fit me in 100 and NYX Bare with me in Vanilla Nude):
    Catrice Ultimate Camouflage Cream shade 100 C Brightening Peach: this one's quite waxy and thick, has a tendency to look almost chalky if not properly moisturized prior. The colour is pretty peachy, as the name suggests, but a slightly pinky peach, the depth is about medium, it's almost the same shade as the cover of the Juvia's place Magic palette, just a little lighter. Coverage is medium I'd say, has a mostly matte finish and if I add concealer and powder on top it looks very dry by the end of the day. Overall not very happy with it. 3 grams of product for 3.49€ in Germany, would rather not say in my local currency as it changes day by day. 1 shade available.
    Catrice Under eye brightener shade 010 Light Rose: this one is very creamy, very emollient, very shiny-looking, almost doubles as an eye cream. The colour is lighter and pinkier than the other one, the coverage is on the light end, but it's dewy so optically it seems more brightening. My biggest problem with this (beside the low coverage) is that it makes my waterproof mascara melt, no matter how much I powder it and it also often creases. It's nothing like the NYX one was, I'd say going off your demonstration it's more like the Revolution in texture, but has the shininess of the Smashbox. 4.2g of product for 3.99€ in Germany. 1 shade available.

    • @TooMuchTash
      @TooMuchTash  Před rokem +1

      Hmmm now that I think about it, the Charlotte Tilbury one is probably the closest if I’m looking at formula and shade! Most of them are either too pink or too peachy, while the NYX one was very close to my skin tone. I would recommend looking at potted concealers instead of color correctors - sorry I don’t have an exact (and more affordable) answer!
