@automotive tech-vet i watched ur video from beginning to end loved it but wanted to rewatch it before i did mine and noticed you said 2014 dodge charger that applys to a front wheel drive cars i could be wrong but chargers didnt make a front wheel drive one its either rear wheel or awd and since u said front thinking u mean awd is there any differance with awd and rear wheel control arms ?
Thanks for the video, what kind of noise was coming from those bad parts? I have a 2015 Charger RT with banging noise but I can't figure out what it is.
I'm about to do the exact same job but I have to change out struts too. I noticed the strut is loose while changing lower control arms. Can I just take the 3 nuts off and replace strut while everything is off or are the struts under pressure? Ps.... I'm new to all of this
Two nights ago I hit a curb , kinda hard on my passenger side , now it sounds like it’s flat and it’s rocking the car but the tire is no where near flat nor is my rim damaged …what could it be ?? It makes a weird squeaky noise on a certain part when the wheel goes in rotation (driving)
Is there a better way to get the bolt out without hitting it with a hammer? Mine seems to be stuck and I cant really get a good hit with a hammer since i only have a jack and stands
Yep, it’s all right while the wheels are hanging.🤯 Another I’ve watched who didn’t tighten arms with bushings at ride height. It will tear the rubber when it twists when returning to ride height!
@@automotivetech-vet Okie dokie, but that’s flat out wrong. By the way, it’s not negative comments. The job was good showing how, for the most part, but common sense to some to never tighten until at ride height. I understand job security is important. You’ll get to do the job again sooner than later😳 QUESTION? Would you say it’s possible for people out there to have a 1 or 2 decades of experience, but haven’t done things quite right? In any field. Yeah, I’m sure you’ve even met some. None is perfect at everything, but wise people realize constructive criticism when they see it , and can get better! Continue on with your experience 👍
And the fact that you don’t even take the time to properly remove the plastic🤯, instead fight with it for 5 minutes. Those are short cuts bud… I’m sure you have many others. What did you torque the bolts to? There is no way you were trained that way, or maybe your trainer was the same way. That is what gives mechanics a bad name🤔
I have a 2012 charger, and whenever I break my car shakes a little bit. I took it to a mechanic and he mentioned three control arms were the issue. Any truth to this? Thanks
Hey they charge me 759$ to replace rear lower control arm and central bushing on the left side only is that a good price or should I checked with other mechanics
Nice part changer !! But do u belive in prealoading before turking bolts on CA!!! Smh they need to be turked to 136 fp ride level ! Or those bushings will be tored up with in few weeks
I just bought the upper and both lowers for both sides and a battery for my 08 3.5 l none police package for just under $1200 battery was like $250 all parts where life time warranty
Thanks for the videos lots of help
Thank you bro , made my day 💯

I'm curious to the bushing washer that creates tension on the front control arm. I mean you don't need'em?

Clunky over bumbs
@@automotivetech-vet yes over bumps
Just had same issue thought it was my motor mounts but it was my exhaust banging off the bar brace under car
Great video. Do you have to take off the sway bar on both sides to flip it down like that or just 1 side ?
Both sides or it won't flip down my friend
@@automotivetech-vet 👍

Yes just don't take the center nut in the middle loose

Why were you so hellbent on getting that bolt out that you had to resort to using the prybar as a javelin? You sure there wasnt another way out?
great job everyone else takes everything off but should of replace sway bar bushings
I’ve replaced the entire front end. Still clunks lol

Did you end up getting it out? I’m gonna attempt mine today.
@@lambo6 ended up using a ball joint tool and got it done

Lol the bushings tear prematurely no matter what u think is the right procedure, before negative comments should be 25 years of experience 😄

U mad because well who cares
Hey where is your videos i wanna subscribe lol 😆
Suspension needs to be torqued under the weight of the vehicle.
Used a metal mallet, still not able to break the rear lower control out, any suggestions ?
The bolt won't come loose or ball joint won't break loose out of knuckle?
Heat it up with a torch around where it seats around the knuckle

If the steering wheel shakes when braking it is probably your front rotors are warped
@@automotivetech-vet thank you
Video is too dark other than that voice info was kool
Do you have a link to the parts?
No sorry
I have replaced both front lower control arms and now steering wheel doesnt return to center. Any ideas?
Need alignment

I like the video is just the Quality of the video it’s not that clear

How much does a job like this usually cost?
Like a grand

You forgot the rear ball joint
Would you say this is a job a person can do at home?? A mechanic quoted me at 2200.00
Most definitely if u have the tools 🔧
@@automotivetech-vet I air compressor guns as well as wrenches and whatnot. What specific tools do you need besides that
Nothing special good pry bar and pickle fork
And hammer lol
@automotive tech-vet lol. Good! I've got both. It doesn't need a torque wrench right?
