    Quinton Hazell Parts used:
    Air filter: QFA0296 (WIX WA9663)
    Oil filter: QFL0064 (WIX WL7305)
    Fuel filter: QFF0356 (WIX WF8460)
    Cabin filter: QFC0313
    Sump plug size is 21mm, torque requirement 34Nm
    Oil filter housing 27mm, torque requirement 25Nm
    Air filter:
    There are 3 T25 Torx screws along the front and a metal clip on the side that is easily done by hand. Make sure when fitting the new filter that the edges of the filter are definitely seated correctly.
    Fuel Filter:
    Remove the soundproof material on top of the engine. The fuel filter is located to the left hand side of the airbox/intake. Remove all the hoses and the electrical connector. There are 2x 8mm bolts at the rear and this will allow the top and filter to be removed from the car. Once you have removed the filter complete with the top if you lift the centre part by twisting this will allow the filter to be drained. Now remove the 3 T15 Torx screws. Now fit the top to the new filter making sure you replace the seal and fit completely square as the seal is easily dislodged. Push the centre down and replace the Torx screws. You can now refit to the car take care the bottom of the filter seats correctly, replace the hoses and electrical connector. Tighten the 8mm bolts. Cycle the ignition a few times as on a lot of cars this will allow the pre-delivery pump to fill the new filter. Now start the car and leave running for 5 minutes to make sure there's definitely no air.

    Cable ties pulling out the way pipes etc whilst doing the oil filter make it much easier.
    They can be slackened right off by releasing them but left in place until next time.

    Great video. Very clear. Oil filter is a mare i think. That car needed a service😂. Only comments are remove oil filler and dipstick to allow air to allow oil to drain faster and more volume. Also, wear gloves. For obvious reasons……skin diseases including cancer. Unnecessarily complicated by citroen with oil anf fuel filters imo. Only ever had one diesel a 2.5tdi transporter and both filters a few minutes at most. Bleed fuel filter by cranking. Thanks for this i am doing my neighbours soon

      Thank you, points taken. I have started removing filters first although after having an engine rebuilt I’ve realised the amount of oil difference is minuscule compared to the amount that is stuck in the engine no matter what you do. The oils filter is an absolute nightmare to put back in, I’ve done a few more since. Good luck with your neighbour’s car.

      What you really meant chap of course was a partial oil change, because the idiots that designed the sump pan ensured that you'll leave about 250ml of dirty oil behind every time.
      What I have done is to use an old toilet cleaner plastic bottle with a piece of plastic pipe shaped like a walking stick handle. Push this up through the drain hole and depress the bottle to suck out the remainder.

      @@IAMASPANNER Superb cheers mate, just a quick question a mobile mechanic told me to NEVER change the fuel filter on a DS3 as you'll never get the car started again! did he maybe mean when it died on you?

    • @IAMASPANNER
      @IAMASPANNER  Před 2 lety +1

      @@ZippyPenguinTribute when changing fuel filters the system can airlock causing the fuel not to make it up from the fuel tank and push the air out of the new filter etc, if this happens they can be bled by using a vacuum to suck air through or pumping air into the fuel tank. Your mechanic must’ve had a bad experience but you definitely should change your fuel filter when it’s due.

    Hi, you know where is the fuel bomb and fuel pressure gauge? OR someone can help me?

    • @IAMASPANNER
      @IAMASPANNER  Před 2 lety

      You’ll need diagnostic equipment to check the fuel pressure, I don’t know where the fuel “bomb” is.

      I think it was 3.7 litres but check the dipstick level before adding the full amount.
