Update: I was able to take delivery of my Model Y today! Vin #71###, no stick or usb in the glovebox. Double pane glass on front doors. Obviously, original center console. No issues at all! Gaps were even, panels, lights, charging door all lined up even. Bumper/body color (white) looks great! I will do one more thorough look tomorrow, but everything looks great and functions flawlessly! Loved the first drive!!

These are the accessories I actually like. Use them all
Interesting features of the Ceramic Coating system: 1. it not only contains Sio2 Silicone Dioxide but also Ti Titanium, which improves the hardness of the ceramic coating. 2. This kit includes a spray on ceramic wipe on wipe off product used after car wash and dry which maintains the high gloss with little effort.
Alright! Tons of props. So I just ordered (at the time) the only Y Tesla had available. Funny enough I had no intention on this, but I have always loved Tesla. I pick it up Monday, and my dumb a_s has already spent over $600 in accessories. To no surprise most of the ones I got where what you have listed. Great overview Justin, you just earned a new sub, you're so close to that 10k milestone! I don't have a Model 3 or Y (yet) but it's always interesting to see some of the great accessories that are available. One thing to note is the Y may soon get the new interior console and glovebox USB port that new 3s have, so people may want to be careful when ordering items such as console wraps and storage items, wireless charging solutions, etc. You may want to feature your referral code more prominently and mention it during your videos, many people are unfamiliar with the benefits of the referral link. Any suggestions for interior door guards? My foot seems to always scuff up the area below what used to be called the map pocket. I’d love to find an easily installed guard/cover/wrap for that area. Thanks. I’ve used your other suggestions several times & they’ve been spot on.
There are clear wrap pieces I’ve seen online. I think tesbros is one of the companies that makes them. Check out there first

No issue with roof tint, I didn’t add any extra tint. Almost all GoPro mounts are about the same so use the one that gets the shot you are looking for

I found some mats that are the same construction as the 3D without the logo. They look exactly the same. Some like the logo and some don't. They are Taptes mat do not have the logo. I received them 3 weeks ago and they work and look just great and they cost around 35 to 40% less. They have the same adhesion to the carpeted floor. There amazing. I am not sure if you have checked these out but they are worth checking.

I want a headliner matching insulated cover for the inside of the glass roof. I'd add a body color or carbon fiber wrap for the exterior of the glass.
The cover for the roof is nice to have when it gets hot out

Have you ever considered to install ventilation into your model y?
Had a model y for quite some time now, loving it but only drawback is that it doesn’t have a ventilated seats. Living in SoCal and it’s kinda a bummer to drive with sweaty ass and back.
Found a Katzkin cooling kit, might solve an issue.
Might be a cool idea for the video. Not sure if that’s possible to install on my own, maybe you can try it out for the fellow Tesla owners. I would definitely pay 1-1.5k just to get at least one ventilated seat.

I purchased the 3DMAXpider floor mats but hated the glaring emblem. I removed them but they are pressed into the mat so it left an unsightly mark. So I painted the emblems with flat black paint and they came out looking great.
Lol, I know some people loath emblems. Never bothered me but I get where you are coming from
Taptes and Basenor offer similar mats as Maxpider without the logo. Deeper coverage under the front seats for the rear mats too. Cost less as well.
Will the matte screen protector show photos as slightly blurry? I want one due to the anti-glare but I am concerned about the clarity of my real-time security camera footage that I use to help me back out into traffic.

Great videos. Long time subscriber. (Y coming in "November.") You take a lot of road trips. How do you solve the "no spare tire" problem?
The no spare is potentially an issue, especially if the unexpected happens. If we do get a flat, I will have to get towed to a tire shop. No real solution on the car.
(Expecting our Y by end of the month) I’ve heard the best solution is to just buy the Tesla tire pump with sealant and keep it in the car. You could buy one from somebody like Slime but some are worried it could void warranty. Thus Tesla brand is the go to

I put my iPhone 13 Pro Max on the Model Y wireless charger in the showroom and it charged ⚡️ was it just the 12 that had an issue?
@@christiannewman The newer Model Ys have the newer center consoles, and they updated the wireless charging pads to work for bigger phones now. My Tesla Model Y was purchased last year (2020) and has the old console that doesn’t really charge well when the iPhone 12 Pro Max has a case.

Great video but one correction... I own the iPhone 12 Pro Max and it most certainly does charge on the Model Y OEM wireless charger. HOWEVER, if you have a case on it, such as the Apple MagSafe Case, it does NOT charge as it sits to high on the charger. I know you have an early run of the Model Y so maybe your charger and mine are slightly different?
Could be a difference there. I couldn’t get it to charge with or without the case...

It was an older charging pad. The newer ones work great, even the old style was updated late 2020 and that seemed to work
I found that the trunk mat from 3d maxpider didn’t really stick to the carpet material very well. Did you experience this too? Doesn’t slide around but still not a very secure fit.

BTG, maybe you can answer this question. I waiting for delivery of a Model Y. As I'm planning what I want to do with it, I asked myself the question "Why do people get the PPF for Teslas:? I'm coming out of a 2014 MKZ with 100k + miles and my car looks great with no PPF. Is Tesla's paint quality that inferior that it really needs it vs other cars?
It’s a great question. Although Tesla does not have the best paint, they are far from the worst. It’s actually because unlike your MKZ, there is no grill on the front of the car. Instead, you have a large painted surface taking all of the impact. Plastic grills can take quite a beating and have big openings to the radiator. Hope that helps

Well, I had a very bad experience with those seat covers for my white interior MY. That was the first thing I did and left it over for a month, now I see stains of those seat covers on my white seat. Don't recommend anyone using it, maybe they are not noticable on a black seat. Is there any way that I can fix it? I'm going to return that seat covers.

There are a lot of options and the one you mention works. That said 1 TB is probably overkill lol

you can get by with 32 GB, I have 64 GB in mine. My Mac that I edit my videos on has 1 TB hard drive lol. Thats overkill for dash cam footage

It doesn't charge with a case on it, I was having trouble even without the case on it. I will be upgrading to one that works more consistently
You may want to call Apple, because my iPhone 12 Pro Max doesn’t exhibit the same behavior. I would apply the coat on them because it just helps to seal it and easier to clean. Not required of course.
I've seen a digital drivers gauge on some German channels, from Alixexpress maybe. I find it strange no English speaking Tesla channel has tried it out, even if it's poor (I have no idea).

I'm thinking of getting a Y. I drive a LOT of gravel and I'm seeing that people are complaining about rock chips. So I've been looking at some stick on clear protection. But they are astronomical in price. Like $800 for just one side of the car. It's going to be like 3000-4000 for the whole car. Any ideas?
Not worth that kind of money. I'd start with mud flaps though without a doubt. Right now there is only 1 option that I am aware of. Its not the best looking but it works.

It would be really cool to be part of the network of Tesla's that replace Uber and Lyft! We could have a little reality show which would be a type of advertising through our channels that could inevitably lead to more people buying Tesla's! I have a background in Automotive Marketing Business Administration and Commercial Energy. Also I'm starting a channel called PROTESLA POWER. Of course this channel will talk about Nikola Tesla, Energy generation, Health and well-being, Tesla motors, Elon Musk, SpaceX, etc. I live just outside of Toronto Canada and could really use some advice on how to get my channel off the ground. I've sent several messages to Elon Musk on Twitter but he gets so many messages in a day or mine probably get overlooked. I think I could be doing a lot more to help people get a Tesla in their driveways faster. I also believe that if you're going to have an EV you might want to have solar generation and battery storage which I also have a business plan to implement. If you like these ideas or have some of your own to offer, I would really like to know. I do appreciate all of you and your comments. This is the time and we are the people that will change the world!

Also a home ceramic coat is never as good a 9 year warranty professionally applied coat.
