- Animal Rebellion (AR) activists vandalised hunting shops with paint as “hundreds” of fellow campaigners protested in central London on Saturday to demand a “plant-based future”.
Campaigners poured red paint inside Farlows, a hunting and fishing shop on Pall Mall, and daubed paint on the windows of William Evans, a shooting supply shop in nearby St James’s Street, while others took and emptied milk from supermarkets.
The group, an offshoot of Extinction Rebellion, describes itself as a “mass movement using non-violent civil disobedience to call for a just, sustainable plant-based food system”.
After putting out a message “calling all vegans to occupy London”, AR said protesters brought London’s West End “to a standstill” as people marched from Green Park to Piccadilly Circus.
They are calling on Prime Minister Liz Truss and Environment Secretary Ranil Jayawardena to tackle what they call the “climate, ecological and cost-of-living crises”.
Fellow environmental campaigners from Just Stop Oil were also seen blocking a road on Park Lane in central London as part of their efforts to stop future gas and oil projects from proceeding.

I worry about cruelty to animals . I’m careful about what I eat.
So if there was an alternative that really did taste and feel like meat, I could be tempted.
But as with all things come to save us, you know it will be expensive and it will not do what it says on the tin.

All Vegans ARE forced to eat meat but marginalising them in the food industry. There's 99% meat serving restaurants in the UK compared to Vegan, and even more abroad. Advertising is all around, walking past a butchers is offensive to a vegan, or smelling fish being offloaded at a harbour in a place like St Ives, for example. (Yes, this may make you think I'm being extreme) but (Provided you are not a smoker) smelling meat, is just as vulgar to a Vegan as inhaling 2nd hand smoke...

I think most restaurants and other places that serve food now have vegan options on their menus now. Everyone has a choice and I object to anyone who demands people to eat vegan foods. Vegan foods are more expensive too and is unaffordable to many people especially for those on low incomes or those on benefits. Meat and fish in our diets are important for the nutrition they provide for good health.
Yes how confusing, it's as if people who recognise that dead flesh is not only disgusting but terrible for the environment don't want to see it where they eat!
It's because vegan food is inclusive. Those with religious beliefs, meat eaters, vegetarians, etc. can all eat vegan meals (I promise a meal or two won't kill) but not everyone can eat meat, eggs, dairy, etc

What these people fail to understand is that animals are grazed on last that is for the most part unsuitable to grow crops on. There are no cornfields on the hills of the UK for a reason, likewise flood plains.
Not only that. They don’t seem to think what would happen if crops of plant based foods failed on a mass scale, similar to that of the Irish potato famine, and Texas dust bowl.
This country would end up with land that is useless because of overgrowing of crops.

I tried a vegan diet, tried really hard, but discovered it isn't a viable lifestyle. I couldn't do anything, felt hungry all the time so reverted to vegetarianism. Also had two associates who died of cancer: both strict dietary vegans. This guy has no right to demand anything. Probably used to getting anything he demands from childhood and expects the same as an "adult". Unfortunately for Robert Gordon, the world doesn't work like that and he's facing a great deal of future disappointment. Tough!

Our cows eat grass silage and hay, they don’t take up any more room than crops and the land they do use are not suitable for crop growth.
Plus with our grazing land it allows other species to survive unlike with crop fields.
And since in their master-plan the land is to be “re-wilded” how will that enable the growing of more crops?

Two points.
1. Why did the security guy just stand there and chat on his radio without intervening.
2. If it was my shop I would expect the police to cart them off and charge them with criminal damage.
It's extremely worrying, as if there's a giant push from the powers that be/the elites above to allow this crap to happen;a concerted effort to push a very specific, destructive non sensical agenda. Terrifying and depressing.
