    2:41 truck cab with corner windows. Driver's side is still in it.
    These cabs are prized in Alaska.
    I had a brother who lived up there & drove eighteen wheelers for a living. He'd come visit, buy a couple of used harleys & one sucj pickup before heading back home.
    He's long since past but he once gave me a book & said, I'm looking for these cabs & I'd really appreciate you letting me know where & when you see them & if they are for sell.
    The kindess words he ever spoke to me.
    As my dad always said of my eldest brother, " He's a character. "

    18: 30 1962 Chevy Impala Sport Coupe Ribbed rear roof & smaller back window to mimic a cloth convertible top.
    All such models had this white stripe. The convertible had chrome trim outlining this feature, making this stripe appear slimmer.
    Its cousin, the '62 Bel Air had a more powerful engine option: 409-hp V-8 with twin four barrel carburators. ( per the Ollie's books by 2023 Publications International, Ltd. )

    2: 31 This maverick sedan is a nice find.
    I was wanting one something awful in 2014. Never found exactly the right color combos & engine I needed.
    With this, one could rebuild it completely from the ground up....perhaps.
    But I've since desired a different sedan. One proving just as ellussive.

    Before I forget to mention this...
    Ollie's retailers is selling really nice photo gallery car book series.
    Cars of the 70s,
    Cars of the 60s,
    Cars of the 50s.
    All three in full color, 240 pages.
    Very affordable.
    CZcams frawns upon price listing, right?
    See these beauties in showroom factory condition & marvel at the coloful details.
    I sure enjoy them.
    And they help me to help you identify cars.
    Maybe if I stop eating sweets I can start remembering more details.
    Dang Aspertame.

      I'd enjoy this video a lot more if I knew where this junkysrd was.
      I could search for parts I need on my own time without waiting on 3rd party price gougers.
      The whole point of a junkyard is to save money while keeping our individual cars up. Maybe even mod our ride a little. 3rd parties drive the prices up for every consumer.
      So,🤔 what's the real truth behind all these videos?
      All your posturing & pointing out how cars have sat here for years wasting away?
      Your not helping this yard make money to survive on by withholding its location.
      And I feel taken advantage of for wasting my time & data watching your video.

    • @tonyscarcare5657
      @tonyscarcare5657  Před 3 měsíci

      Don't watch, then. I will be disclosing the location very soon, but this yard doesn't ship parts, and they don't want to be bombarded with phone calls. Are you able to travel to central Illinois for a bunch of rusted out cars?

    • @gonsolop2429
      @gonsolop2429 Před 3 měsíci

      I'm able when my cash is available & I see the parts I need.
      You don't have time to wait on my cash flow, so why bother & cause a fuss when I can just plot the course & arrive during daytime hours when the ysrd is open.
      I have only my own personal projects.
      Cars I wanna drive once each are finally road worthy. Because of my limited cash flow I can not afford a middle man. And I will never sell a single car. Selling is not of interest to me. I don't support myself with my hobby. Keeps me from getting burned out.
      I'm an artist & car enthusiest as a hobby only.
      There are some parts I might be willing to tip you off that I desire. But then the hunt for auch mod parts is kind of the draw of excitement for me. Maybe it just wasn't AGGRIVATINGLY meant to be. Maybe I'm just cursed in being refused.
      Who knows. And I don't care to dwell.
      I only know that its easiest for me to hop in my truck & drive A to B non-stop. I arrive, I locate my parts, I negociate in favor of the yard, I pay for my parts, load up & drive home.
      California & Washington State are my only true challenges. Well, who wants to go to NY? Really.
      I was in Boston once. Gas station attendants were all foriegm speaking only, not one station had a city map, nor could anybody understand American English & direct me to the new Boston Redsocks stadium.
      Drove by Boston college 7 times.
      The big Bronze bull 7 times.
      And an incredible artistic gothic church with Templar crosses on it's entry doors.
      But no stadium. 🙃
      Plenty of dol-garn potholes!
      I finally found a Boston Red Sox suvonere 30 miles outside of Boston in a gas station on my way home.
      Mission accomplished though, as my friend purchased the car he wanted. 😎

      I do not pick parts out of this yard for other people, so therefore, I'm not a middle man. I get a few parts for friends and favors and trade, but that's it. You will know soon where this yard is. They will not ship parts, and they do not want a bunch of phone calls.

    Its very unique.
    I'm puzzled.
    Update, should be a dodge Aspen, if they made a sedan. I recall earlier catching glimpse of the front fender, headlight enclosures, & grill.
    Also, dodge used the bulky side markers with no chrome trìm.
    Sedan vs coupe will sometimes have different taillights which is what has me lost here. Plus the rear window appears to bulge out some near tge top corners.

    First car is a 1949 or 50 Sunbeam Talbot, by Rootes Motors. Second one is indeed a Nash. The Mercury at 6:18 is a '61 Meteor 800, the only year a full size Meteor was sold in the US. It is not related to the Canadian Meteor. Very rare. I don't think the those Rally Novas had specific identifiers, it was just an option on a regular Nova. It was a poor man's SS. I'll bet it was a 3-on-the-floor, not 4.

    1972 Rally Nova.
    ST 72 = 1972
    1 14 27 W= 1- Chevrolet Motor Division
    14= Nova, V-8
    27= 2 door sedan
    W= Willow Run, MI. assembly plant
    178450 BDY = Body by Fisher sequence # for tracking on assembly.
    TR 751= Trim 751 = black vinyl bench or buckets (standard)
    63 63 PNT= 63 Mohave gold, both lower and upper body color (no vinyl roof, that would be a letter)
    02A = built 1st week of February
    A52 = Bench seat
    A 0190 (I don't have any information about)
    The VIN is located on the driver's side dash, under the broken windshield. It is very important to have that to make sure the body tag on the firewall is correct. There were a lot of body tags miss stamped stating a V-8 , when in fact it had a 6 cyl. or 4 cyl. from the factory.
    That Rally Nova is salvageable with a ton of work. They are coming up in value. 😎

      Out of these 28-minute videos, people are only watching 6-9 minutes. I can't spend that much time because it just takes too much time. Plus, while I'm looking in the camera to make sure I'm on a certain thing and also making sure I don't trip over something, I miss some of the stuff. One tree or one vehicle can block my view. I promise I'm doing the best I can, and I will go back and cover some of these questions as long as people treat me nicely. It's not as easy as it looks. I will also tell everyone where this is at the end of the series of videos. And they do not want to be bombarded with phone calls.
