  • This private collection was made available for us to explore, but its location is a secret. The collection mostly consists of Mopar muscle cars, and the owner has an addiction to 1967 through 1969 Plymouth Barracuda. There are other Mopars in this collection, including a Cuda oval track car, a Dodge Challenger, a '69 Dodge Coronet, a Polara station wagon, and many more. But the highlight is the 20+ Plymouth Barracudas, including multiple convertibles, which are extremely rare. Follow along as we explore this secret stash of Mopar muscle cars that have been hidden for YEARS!

    I noticed this guy loves mixing different year front ends on the barracuda's. i am building a 69 440 Cuda at the moment and i agree it is fun trying to find all of the pieces and when you do they cost a arm and a leg. My car has the fiberglass fenders, hood with a 6 BBL scoop. You called the 3 years of 67-69 barracuda's rare but did you know they made less in 5 years of 70-74's barracudas but they get all the love in the restoration parts department.

    Got to add my two-cent's worth. The Dodge wagon is a 1968 and very cool. The Valiant convert may be a car that was manufactured in Mexico. I say that because there was a 1965 Valiant convert where I grew up with the same front end. That car was 100% original with the Barracuda front end. In the early 2000s, the car came up for sale for a measly 500.00 dollar's. Like an idiot, I passed on it, but curiosity got the better of me so I did some checking and discovered that Mexican Valiant's used Barracuda trim. Very cool and rare car. Should be restored.

    Sad thing is that so many of these would be on the road or in the process of restoration instead of dieing and becoming a sad pile of rust! I know that they may have good intentions but yet they let them rot untill they decide that they will not live long enough to see any of them get to that restored spot that they so much deserve..... When they added these cars to their collection they were in much better shape than what they are in now? How long have they been here dieing a slow rusty rotting death? I have seen it happen so many times and heard the same words, NO! I am not selling it because I am going to do something with it??? and go back years later only to find that rotted pile of rust and those famous words, I thought that I was going to do something with it and now? So Sad.....

    • @vernonbolinger9488
      @vernonbolinger9488 Před rokem +1

      So sad because most of these cars I'm sure were in much better shape when he got them. Over the years I've met several people who wouldn't sell. They all said I'm going to restore it someday,which always never came. Many ended up getting hauled away. The saddest one was a 72 challenger with a 383 and ac. That was sitting in a field in western Washington. All complete and in decent shape. Offered to buy it,but. He insisted he was going to restore it. Asked about it many times over the next 12 years, but by now it was full of mold inside and sunk into the wet Washington ground. Still insisted he was going to restore it someday. I moved out of state 17 ys ago and sometimes wonder what became of it.

  • @CAROLDDISCOVER-FINDER2525

    I think Dodge dart would be a great build. Would not be that expensive 50 only one to sell. As far as the barracudas even ten years ago you could pick them up for next to nothing. The only reason I see for that is that is that the cuda killed it because it was such a great looking car. I've always liked the barracudas and as far as pony cars go, they're still quick.

    While interesting to see these collections it’s still very sad to have the mentality of this owner. I’ll never understand it. And the sad truth is when he passes, if his family is not passionate about cars they will hire a scrapper to come in and flatten them all so they can sell the steel to China. Luckily you got permission to roam freely and video this but still sad to see these rusting away to nothing when selling these off slowly could be supporting many small American businesses that would restore or rebuild these.

    • @dyer2cycle
      @dyer2cycle Před rokem

      Yes, they always crush them quickly so they can sell the land to developers...Real Estate agents/developers always want the property "cleaned up" ASAP because the land is worth more that way, and the heirs definitely want to get all they can out of the land...so the car crusher is the quickest way to achieve this...

    • @CoreyPflug

      @dyer2cycle Před rokem

      Really, that is almost always the case..seen it many times before..the reality is, especially if they are older and in declining health, or just of modest financial means, they would be better off selling down to 1-2 cars and using the funds to get those 1-2 cars finished so they can enjoy them while they still can...but that rarely happens, rather have lots of car shells instead...sometimes the lines between "collector" and "hoarder" gets blurred...
