  • Pulling apart the carbs after 2 years of non use. They were a mess of green grunge fuel residue, every jet blocked

    Yes...
A couple of months ago my rrt SC33 developed a problem.
Luckily it was just pilot jets.
They're lovely bikes to work on.
The area underneath the tank is so accessable.
    Anyways...
I simply took my time with a single strange of copper wire and lots of carb cleaner.
Cylinder 1 and 3 were the issue.
    It runs lovely again now.
I'm changing the oil and filter and stator tomorrow.
The stator housing area is getting crazy hot just from warming the bike up.
I changed the regulator a few months ago.
    E10 isn't great for sure.
It'll be the death of these bikes amongst other reasons.
    Best regards.

Thanks Colin.. Sadly, it’s just part of owning older carb’d bikes.. but I don’t mind tbh.. I enjoy working on all my bikes.
I ordered and had delivered today an air compressor, so hopefully it will have the muscle to blow out the remainder of the crap in the jets and carbs.. 🙏🏽😄
Cheers my friend, I hope you get the stator sorted.. Ride safe
