Good luck with your Cayman. I also just bought a 07 base- white on black as well. It may not feel drastically fast but it is in fact fast than the mk7 gti. Car and driver got a 5.5 0-60 in the Cayman base and the 7 gti got a 5.8 0-60. One of things I noticed about my car is not to expect much from 1st gear but 2nd and 3rd are a blast and will pin you in your seat if you really work the rpms.
I love this car, nothing will ever compare to how it makes me feel when I drive it. I just got 2010 Cayman S few weeks ago. The white color is absolutely beautiful but mine is black with sand beige interior.

This is my exact thought when people freak out about plates in videos. If thousands of people see my car all week to and from work it can't be that big of a deal for a few more to see it in a video or pic. ( p.s. - Thanks for the info in this vid! I noticed the rims right when it came off the truck! Love em!)
It's true that your plate is already visible to anyone near your car but most of those people probably haven't seen your videos. CZcams can so vastly expand the number of people able to see your license plate that it may become an issue. With your license plate number more information can be revealed about the car's owner than they would probably like. So law enforcement can locate you from a racing video, a crazy fan could track you down because of your internet celebrity status, etc. But in the end it's ultimately up to you.
