There‘s a nice phrase„Freitags ab Eins macht jeder seins“ 😊

Hi from Hungary. It was a very educational video indeed.
I always wait for the light to turn to green, even if I look stupid. I had bad experiences before. A car can just appear suddenly from nowhere with high speed. I have time to wait, and not risking it, not mentioning that it's highly illegal to go through red light. A lot of people do that especially in Budapest, and they don't realize that a car is coming, and a lot of accidents and conflicts created by that.

7:04 - I'm not in Germany, but I have a habit to wait for green light. Some streets in old European towns aren't straight and visibility distance is small. If the driver is not coutious you have to be because you haven't got big momentum and hard surface... And there are cameras everywhere...

You got the motivation for the U-Bahn etiquette wrong (sorry, no sugar coating - German bluntness, you know 😉). You may have noticed that people ask if you're going to get off at the next stop only when you are between them and the doors and if the train is crowded.
People ask this to avoid two scenarios:
    1) They can’t get out at the next stop, because you’re in the way and they don’t want to barge through you.
    2) If you get off anyway, they don't want to be seen as impolitely trying to “jump the queue”, that is trying to get out before you.
So, the question “Do you get off at the next station?” is short for “If you’re getting off at the next station I’m completely fine with getting off after you, but if you don’t get off at the next station may I pass and move closer to the door to ensure I get off please?”

You revealed you're in southern Germany by saying "Brotzeit" - so fulfilling the general prejudice about germany being Bavaria (sorry Baden Würtemberg)
    The North is different.
