Boutique Air Pilatus PC-12 "Private Jet Experience" review

  • A while back I was browsing Google Flights and stumbled upon an airline that I hadn't heard of before. And they fly with aircraft that I hadn't heard of before. I'm talking about Boutique Air, who fly with Pilatus PC-12 aircraft.
The Pilatus PC-12 is a smaller turboprop aircraft that have only 8 seats for passengers. They advertise their service as "flying private for the price of commercial". The strength of Boutique Air is that they connect small airports with bigger ones. My flight was from Albuquerque New Mexico to Phoenix Arizona, with a stop in the tiny Grant County Airport of Silver City.
Unfortunately the route has since been discontinued and is taken over by another airline: Advanced Airlines. They now operate a King Air 350 aircraft on this route.
    Route: ABQ-SVC-PHX
    Flight Number: 4B612 and 4B641
    Airline: Boutique Air
    Aircraft: Pilatus PC-12
    Aircraft registration: N471SS
    Seat: No seat numbers

It's amusing when I watch these videos and hear people talk about the "tiny" aircraft. This thing is colossal compared to my Long EZ....

Ahh, I saw Boutique Air come up as a connection option in the west coast. After seeing this I would definitely give them a shot. I have flown in quite a few light aircraft but never a Pilatus.

Gilbert Travels I can totally recommend it, especially for the price! The only ever time I flew on a small turboprop before was on a Cessna 172 on a groupon deal. I even got to take the yoke for a bit. What small aircraft have you flown with?

@@Vuelogs Cessna Grand Caravan, Piper Comanche, Beechcraft twin of some sort, Twin Otter which was a little larger, and a 172. Fun to go low and slow sometimes, especially over in the Bahamas.

Awesome video. These poor pilots though are making 24,950 a year. Ouch... Flying the plane, guiding passengers, checking there boarding pass, and load/unload youre baggage. Sucks

Regretfully, had to give this a thumbs down. The most fascinating part of any flight is the takeoff and landing. Fast forwarding through these events is a no-no for us avgeeks.

Regretfully, fast-forwarding the takeoff run or final approach rates an automatic dislike from this viewer.
