Yo ✌️ I'm the guy from the first story. I posted this story years ago and I'm here because people are somehow finding my channel from this video and commenting. To update yall, I don't make videos anymore. Sad but I've found more passion with filming music videos. Also I don't really talk to my aunt anymore lol we just ignore each other at family events mostly. Also I never posted this on "am I the jerk" nor even asked that question in my post, I posted this to entitled parents.

If kid was any good enough, I would probably suggest to mother to have him as a guest in one of your videos and plug his channel by the end. Maybe ever turn on some munchkin charm and plead a little (for some pity likes), while he still small enough to get away with it without cringe, unless worthy of legitimate interest. Make it mom's problem to decide if she wants her young offspring's face or voice for internet strangers to see
I understand this is old. I am a 70 year old woman. You are not the jerk. I have a grandson that is a rap battler and does audio and another that does anima edits. I have a decent following on X. I am proud of their grandsons hard work. Not sure how I ended up with a following on X (politics I suppose). Glad you found a career path even if it is not CZcams. Best of luck with your future.

Story 4: Don't get worked up about Anthony, he has done nothing to deserve Delilah being like that. It is his house after all. Delilah seems like a small karen and has something against Anthony. There is no reason for that picture to be taken down. Delilah needs to have it explained to her that it is HIS house and he can look back and celebrate his own wedding which was a large milestone in his life. I feel sorry for the person in this story as they are in a hard place as they are faced with arguing with their wife, or arguing with a good friend. Delilah is definitely in the wrong for this.

Story 4: Delilah have a thing for Anthony. I wouldn't be surprised if she is the one who wanted that they would move into Anthonys place and not to stay in op's moms place. She want's that picture taken away because she wants Anthonys wife completely taken away. Op needs to move away if he ever did see Anthony as his friend, it's extremely disrespectful towards Anthonys wife And Anthony to have Delilah in their house. How ever you might see this issue, they have already outstayed their welcome.

Story 1: I feel sorry for the cousin.. At first I thought he was just as entitled as his mom, but he's a good kid who just wants to make youtube. I recommend that the op teach the cousin how to make better content. Besides, if his mom wants him to make youtube so much, she can buy him a new PC.

If it were me, I'd recommend a screen recorder, a speed up using the CapCut editor (so the lag is less noticeable), a thumbnail, appealing title, scheduling videos, tagging videos, and finally voiceovers. It's how I gained 150 subscribers in, like, a week or two, I then gained 90 subscribers after starting a game company. But the way I grew on YT was by good editing and convincing, appealing videos. 😁 That cousin would get great recognition.

The aunt in the first story definitely could’ve gone down a different route in the situation. If I were a kids mom whose kids hobby is making Minecraft videos for CZcams, instead of asking the OP to post the video on their channel that they want as their job that their passionate about, I would’ve asked them to either give the kid advice to make their videos better, or just simply say “Do you mind giving my kids channel a shoutout?”. But this lady basically just straight up asked the OP to post their cousins videos on their channel even though they said its not their kind of content.
I have 100 subs right now and I’d try to be as respectful as possible when declining the upload. However helping the young nephew isn’t a bad thing.
I think it comes from a place of the aunt just not understanding CZcams in general. However, rather than try to learn about it from OP who does understand she chose ignorance and to belittle him (killing off pretty much all hope of her son getting help from him).
a lot of older people wouldn't know what a "shoutout" is! if the aunt was less of a Karen she could have asked her nephew to help her son to make a channel of his own as well as the tips on making better vids! in a perfect world, if all went well, the OP could have even offered to let his viewers know about his cousins channel and then it would be a matter of those that were interested could go check out the cousins content if they wanted!
Story 2: definitely not a jerk. As someone who has been/currently is in an odd romantic situation, being open is great, but only so far as both people respect each other and their actions show that.
I've dated another girl while still talking to one, and while we love each other she still encouraged it, and she's mentioned feelings for another guy which I'm totally cool with, but the reason it's still good between us is because we have the well being of the other in mind.
This girl was saying she cared and then getting wasted and sleeping with random guys, two very contradictory things, and she's stemming her honesty from a place of self-complacency. I feel sorry for that guy

Literally astonished. I doubt the pig is pooping on the kitchen counter which means the roommates are already moving the poop so why not move it to a toilet? Do they poop on the kitchen counter as well? Do they eventually dump the pig poop into the kitchen sink and that's why they are insistent on having poop in the kitchen? The same kitchen sink where I assume dishes and cutlery are washed?
Even if they were farmers who wanted the poop for fertilizer, shouldn't it be in a bucket outside the home or in an out of everone's way corner, or again, a BATHROOM where at least anyone over 2 years old and therefore hopefully POTTYTRAINED, would EXPECT to find poop!

Story #3: That's f*cking digusting and the room mates are lucky they don't get their asses beat for doing that, especially since it sounds like it's been an ongoing thing. Take photos and use the texts to report them to the landlord, and if they are the landlords themselves, report them to the local municipality and sue them for creating unsanitary living conditions and exposing you to potential foodborne illnesses. E. Coli is nothing to take lightly and people die all the time from exposure to it, especially when it was sourced from pig feces run off on a farm.

Story 4: The op is definitely in the wrong. To begin with, Anthony openly let the op and Delilah move in, without any rent. For her to be uncomfortable from seeing the picture is reasonable, especially because of how she was raised, but it is extremely rude to argue with Anthony about something in his own house. If it is not explicit, there is nothing wrong. To argue with a person that’s offering you a roof over your head for free about something in their house is an explicit attempt of taking advantage of their hospitality, they the op live there when all they had to say was no.

It’s unfortunate that in story to that scenario happened to the OP twice. But something I was thinking about was the fact that it’s a lot better than having them keep it a secret for years when you’re much further in the relationship and then you find out by accident. It sucks, but once you get through it and as time goes on things will get a lot better.

Story 1: I applaud this person for being able to stand up to their aunt for this. There are not many people who understand this but CZcams is more than just a hobby to some people. It can mean their life. There's a substantial amount of people who depend on CZcams to bring food to their tables and some other people who needed CZcams to be their foundation to their next career. Notable CZcamsrs in the past included Dream, BadBoyHalo, Technoblade(RIP by the way), Alan Becker, Rainimator, etc. People who think they should use another person's channel for their own gain don't understand that what they are doing could bring down the channel. Sure some other youtubers have posted fanart or displayed videos made by fans in the past but that was because the materials were made to promote the youtuber themselves. CZcams is a place for people to make content and show off what they have been able to do with their life. It's not a place made for random people to force CZcamsrs to promote their work. Also good job to the kid for understanding this message.
I think to make it even better, the OP from the first story can give his cousin a suggestion on how to make his video or better or point out what stuff can makes it better (like better equipment), so he will know what should he change and probably will ask his mother to buy him better equipment too on top of that.
But then again, I bet she will complain about that too, things like "then u should give him YOUR equipments" something like that. These type of people will always find a way to annoy you

I really think this happened in the first story because the aunt didn't know the advantages of being a youtuber and thought it is a fase that he will get over with. I have a aunt who thinks singing is not a carrier and didn't listen to the family, but that happened because of the old school thinking she was taught at her house.

For the CZcams story, if I were in his position I would tell him to keep at it. Explain the reasons why he's not getting many views and explain what is needed to improve quality. Due to his age, I would never be collaborating with him. And he should probably do his own networking to help grow his channel. Basically do enough to help keep him right but he still has to do the hard work. I would also let him know, he may never get big on CZcams, he could suddenly blow up. But don't go chasing trends to blow up just to get famous.

Well number 2 isn’t cheating exactly but it is a dick move to get someone’s hopes up, string them along then sleep with other people.

Like his friend said, it's HIS HOUSE, HE'S the one helping out the OP with a tough situation, and the OP's getting way too comfortable in HIS HOME to be making demands like that. Even though it's the OP's wife that has the problem with the photo, he's definitely out of pocket for expecting his friend to cater to his wife's ridiculous demands.
