    That first story is why you should never order delivery during any sort of weather emergency. You’re risking someone’s life just because you’re too lazy to eat something.

    • @datedjr1
      @datedjr1 Před 17 dny +4

      That’s bs it’s far more stupid for them to accept the order, they need to just close she said that she didn’t expect the weather which is why she was in flip flops.

      Don't blame the customer for the boss's orders. It's the employer's responsibility to keep employees safe. OP could've had a field day in court with the work she was given to do.

      I would've thrown the pizza at them and told them to get bent because I nearly died for your pizza!
      Then call that manager and tell them I quit!
      A job that has zero sense of safety for their employees can collapse.

    I walked off the job and got fired once. One of the busy days of our work year, I get in early to help get any last minute prep out of the way and come into the store a mess. Previous shift hadn't sold enough to justify the store being trashed, prep was half finished in a way that would take me 2+ hours to get ready if business didn't pick up, and the wait staff was either fucking around or cleaning in a way that everything they touched was still dirty. I called the manager and they said to make due cuz "You're the shift supervisor, you should be able to handle that little bit of work." So after looking around, I called back and said I was going home. 15 called and a 20 minute walk later I was fired.
    Next morning I got a call from the regional manager who asked what the fuck happened. Gave him the rundown and he asked for 45 minutes. A call back and I wasn't fired and was getting a promotion with a raise after he went in and ran the cameras and saw how bad the store looked and how poorly it ran without me that night

    The one time I walked out of a job was at KFC, it was just me, the manager, and one other employee. The manager, had told me to go outside and scrub the sidewalks, as that’s a normal part of that job. I go out there and get it done in 25-30 min. I come back in and she’s screaming about how she and the other employee were the only ones taking orders and making the food. I told her that she gave me orders to do the sidewalks.
    She did NOT like that
    She had told me that “if I couldn’t help her and do the sidewalks at the same time, (even though that would require a change of gloves, and washing hands each time I walk in and out of the restaurant) that I could just leave and be out of a job” I left and signed a paper saying I quit, and two hours later I had gotten a new job at Walmart.

    I had a manager yell at me for doing something efficient but not exactly in his list of priorities, basically in between 2 tasks, I did a little extra task, but he thought I was off task.
    Later on to "set an example" he then basically did my job for me as quick as he could and said "this is how much you could've been doing!"
    Im keeping it vague to avoid writing a novel
    Anyway, I walked away, clocked off and left him to do my job for me
    Still have my job so that's nice 😅

    I worked in the fresh meat section at Walmart. First shift starts at 5am and second starts at 1pm. There’s usually a person at around 10 if it’s busy. I got to work at 1 on the busiest day of the week and the morning person called out and management didn’t schedule a second person. I worked for like 2 hours then just clocked out
