9 times out of 10 that solves it... 9 times out of a hundred the user is the problem... 1 in a hundred it needs to be fixed. Often the device was designed to fail like that.
Edit: I know this from the tens of thousands of devices I have fixed... the worst was a standard USB connector that *someone* connected into an ethernet port... I needed pliers to get them out... :|

@@phreakazoith2237 I think it could be in relation how the Mechanicum views flesh, the skull being split in two with one half Bone and the other being overcome with Machine and the Cog surrounding the skull could be a symbol that Machine encompasses all? I'm grasping here but that what I think it means.

Canting in particular carries more negative connotations alongside implications of it being unneeded or otherwise superfluous religious jargon. The priesthood does not care however, and so you'll often find them using the term in otherwise positive connotations.

THE EMPEROR PROTECTS
And now, as it comes as no surprise to this lowly acolyte, oculus had the best mars/mechanicus lore vid there is.
There are those in the Imperium who mock the sons and daughters of Mars as little more than myopic techno-fetishists. At the same time, there are those within the Adeptus Mechanicus who sneer at the huddled masses of mankind as being little more than ignorant, barely sentient bags of weak flesh. Both are wrong.
For the universe *in its entirety* is the glorious creation of the Machine God. Mankind may be mere flesh, but flesh too is one of the Machine God’s holy mechanisms. Technology is a thing of ceaseless wonders, but what purpose could technology have without life to give it meaning?
To see the *true* path of the Machine God, you need only consider our Beloved Emperor. Our Omnissiah.
Imperium and Mechanicus.
Terra and Mars.
Emperor and Omnissiah.
Man and Machine.
*This* is the Machine God’s grand design. To ignore one in favor of the other is to blaspheme against His creations. Only when joined in unity and equality do they serve His will.
Praise be the Omnissiah, brother.

So we can say that the cult mechanicus at large(smaller subsections or individuals excluded) is in breach of the treaty of olympus mons given that for the last 10 millennia they have done more to inhibit said developments rather that facilitate it.
Develop to become in par with mars but not beyond it. Relatively earth tech will be newer and better if they develop it to become same with mars. Surely Big E can do that but its better a whole planet do it for him.

My favourite moment with the admechs is in BfG 2, when the fabricator meets trollzin. I always imagine this:

You would think at the height of "The Golden Age of Technology", that VENUS would have been made habitable or at least survivable. It seems in almost every sci-fi franchise, Venus is utterly ignored, with desperately few exceptions.
Venus can be cooled with a planetary solar shade. The cooling process would take centuries after the shade is built. But from there things get very easy because now you can actually touch the planet. Mars would benefit from this in a somewhat different fashion. Having its own solar shade, would protect Mars from solar winds and in both planets cases the solar shades would also act as massive solar farms providing power to fuel industry OFF WORLD allowing Earth to remain green Venus and Mars following in a similar fashion although Mars might be easier in that it would not be covered in a layer of DRY ICE.
I know WH40K was created in a time when this information was not readily available if at all. But It is hard to envision a humanity even thousands or years removed being so irresponsible as to not insure that every planet they set foot on could fend for itself should the need ever arise. But then the Games Workshop overarching impetus is "just how bad could things get even if everyone has to be absolutely and unfathomably stupid to make it happen".
Gosh I love how you debate why the Emperor didn’t just conquer Mars and make sure the imperial truth was spread there. It’s a valid point that it might have spent so many resources as to not be worth it. Although it hindsight, considering the religion everything has become, and how such a war might have hardened the emperor even more to anyone deviating from his wisdom...
Ahem, hindsight and ten thousand laws of heresy that I have committed there.
