The Ordo Sinister is probably one of the coolest things in 40k/30k lore.

Its also an example of the Emperor's utter hypocrisy and hubris. "Oh of course these psy-weapons are things of utter horror, that destroy all they touch and threaten the very fabric of reality... But I'm The Emperor, I can't be wrong, so of course its okay for me to break my OWN edict about these weapons being utterly banned"
When you realize that yes, Curze very much WAS a part of the Emperor's psyche. It still would have been terrifying, but imagine loyal Night Lords walking with these things...

This comment struck something deep in me, in that instead of each primarch representing a piece of the Emperor, they are those actual pieces that he shed in preparation for what came after. It would explain his coldness and detachment from them in the Great crusade as he prepared to ascend/transcend to the golden throne. I do whole heartedly believe he saw what was coming and that this was the way forward.
Imagine IInd or Xth legion of Null Space Marines and using Thousand Sons as fodder. Then expand it to - say - modest destroyer size....

Let's be honest, these are Anti-Daemon Engines, aren't they?
These are designed to smack down Greater Daemons and hand out spankings to Daemon Princes.
Was the Emperor planing to use them to clear out the broken parts of the Webway?
Was he considering an invasion of the Maelstrom and the Eye, pushing the Warp out of real-space entirely?
If the Grayknights were designed before the Heresy began, were they supposed to be ground support fighting alongside these Titans, and taking the Emperor's war to the Chaos Gods themselves?
Probably. But the fun is as always in the mystery and speculation.
I'm don't think so. Psi titans have a human pilot that is a pariah. Also part of the power system is an alpha class psyker.
Daemon engines are machines that have daemons using them and wouldn't be feasible (because their center of gravity might be off or they have a too small power source) without the subtle reality bending powers of the warp.
@@mikaelantonkurki not Daemon Engines, Anti-Daemon Engines. I'm saying that these are Titans that are specifically designed to fight against Daemons, as opposed to regular Titans which are designed with more conventional threats in mind. Like I said, what if the Ordo Sinister was supposed to be to the Titans what the Grayknights are to Space Marines?

I think so. If the Emperor succeeded in bringing the galaxy into compliance, I can't see him just ignoring the massive hole-to-hell taking up a large portion of his empire's flank. Who knows, maybe he was even considering somehow invading the realm of Chaos itself? Say what you what about him, the Emperor was not lacking for ambition.

It is worth noting.. that among the forces defending the Cadian Gate during outset of the 13th Black Crusade there is a record for a unit called the Divisio Telepathica Psi-Titans, their force size is listed as CLASSIFIED. It is on page 16 of the Eye of Terror Codex from 2003.. Perhaps the Ordo Sinister walks still.

The First Wall has Malcador musing about the potential of using the Astronomican in reverse, to siphon enough psychic power into the Emperor that it could consume Chaos like a fire taking up all the air in a room. Perhaps the Sinistramanus Tenebrae utilized by the Psi-Titans were a small-scale testbed for such technology?

I bet they, along with the majority of the Grey Knights, are still down in the palace webway portal kicking daemon ass. But that was always my theory behind the true reason for the Greybois' creation.

Honored Chronicler, in mere days the 40,000th Imperial citizen will be receiving their own modified vox-caster for use during their work shift; said units will be altered to include your channel in their available programming. They will be allotted several seconds or minutes, length of time varying depending on the local Planetary Governor's decree, to respond to the content therein. Rumors persist that there are future plans in some Hives to play your program to entire lower level hab-blocks when first received to boost the citizenry's morale. Considering the quality of your content it is easy to see why the follower milestone was so quickly achieved, or will be shortly.
The blaring of the program on loudspeakers at any hour of the day once received, I surmise, will interfere with said citizenry's sleep patterns; such is the price for being one of the fortunate first to experience great content. Without trepidation thank you for your contributions to the Imperium of Man. Surely the other factions appreciate your efforts as well, I would be remiss to exclude any of them outright as it is not my place to do so, let them come forward and claim the statement untrue if they wish. In the event they do, they would be ignoring the fact that the program freely furnishes them with intelligence they would likely not be privy to; that is a small price to pay for the emboldening of loyal Imperial citizens. The Imperium of Man stands to this day but for the strength of citizens of your caliber.
If all subjects of the Imperium held even a tenth of such resolve and grit as the Chronicler, Abbadon would have been executed during his first Black Crusade

The ordo still exists because it was never stated that it was destroyed. If Malcadore could make an entire world disappear to protect the grey knights, imagine what the Big E would do to protect his most special psy-titans.

The ordo sinister likely was the next step in the webway project to fight the eldar and annihilate them totally and destroy warp monstrosity
It makes sense, but why not use them during the War in the Webway then? Something like that could easily have turned the tide and given the defenders time to shore up and repair the damage, unless somehow those weapons don't work against daemons.

Based on what we know, i think that a very plausible explanation for the ordo's nature, must stem from pariah based technology. This would indeed account for their terrifying nature, and their total destructiveness, to any warp based technology.
I mean, they're also called Psi-Titans, so... Psyker-Null Hybrids?

The choice to run the unsettling sounds instead of music was great. Also, your continued disdain for the Eldar makes the Chronicler a hoot to listen to.
These sounds are not in the video, Citizen. They are inside YOU.
The Oculus also recently, and heavily, criticized the Imperium's long history of xenophobia and alien bigotry. There was a comment on his Eldar video theorized that he's only sounding so hateful to not draw the Inquisition's attention, and that he really sympathizes with the Eldar. I personally love this theory.
I come back to these records every few months. I love the Ordo Sinister. Pavore Dominetur.

This one had the air of a horror film from beginning to end!
This is an excellent video, one which reminds me of the basic premises of 40k.
1. Gimdark
2. The Emperor is a hypocritical asshole.
3. The Eldar's only purpose is to be surpassed and defeated by everyone. As an Eldar fan, seeing my faction be crushed yet again by yet another enemy that somehow manages to beat them at their own game warms my heart.
For those confused on how the Eldar souls could be, 'in the Craftworld's bones'. Means that though the Infinity Circuit wasn't created until M33. Soul stones had existed in Aeldari society for millennia before the fall. Its just that after the fall they couldn't make more and were eventually forced to travel to crone worlds for more. But placing Eldar souls into Soul Stones was already practiced by the time this Craftworld was attacked. Rather than being united together, the Eldar souls were trapped, alone in their stones and the stones were placed into the Craftworld super structure for safety. That is how Soul stones could be used to power the Eldar constructs.
I could only imagine the pilots of these psi titans and how much the battle with the machine spirit if they arent both linked by the emperor.. or the emperor piloting these titans himself through warp fuckery. ...
I find it just untangling to think of all the horror and death 30k/40k has to offer .. all is but put to shame by the Ordo Sinister. If the ordo sinister was present on a battlefield during M40+ being a traitor, especially a psychic traitor. How ..devastating this would be to look upon, it would most definitely shake the core of beliefs that maybe the Emperor was more than just a man... and was entirely above everything ever imagined

My man, great lore but: Imma need that accent back!! It gives your videos this distinct vibe, as if the lore was literally told by an otherworldly scholar from the dystopian future. This was so immersive and almost ASMR-like!

Dude you do the lore better than any other channel on CZcams.... Yes even better than Arch himself!
That's not all that difficult, Arch just uses way too much words to get his point across and it seems to me he likes to hear himself talk a little too much. Not to criticize Oculus because his content is excellent, but Arch is overrated in my opinion and relies too much upon his own opinion and views of his subjects and not just the facts as he researches for his content. He involves his own opinion and principles in his content and thus can never truly be unbiased. Oculus has for as far as I have seen never let his thoughts on the subject infect his content and is therefore always pure fact and uncluttered by defending his opinion. Arch is not a reliable source of information for Warhammer lore if you want your lore without the taint of emotion or bias. Information is only useful if it allows you to form your own opinion and not influence your opinion. That is not information but propaganda.
@@blacklegionxvi8680 don't get me wrong I love Arch. But this guy makes me feel like I am actually in the 40k world. That's all. Arch is like commentary but this is like a story... Sound effects and all.
@@LU-nc6oy I know I was completely blown away when I first came across his channel and I first heard his episode on the Emperor's Children. There is no one like him he's in a league of his own. Luetin compares to him somewhat but even he doesn't have that feeling that you're listening to something straight from the 41st millennium.

My personal theory to why ordo sinister is seen much. If that they must have been deployed on mass when a certain Magnus broke the barrier to the emperor webway.
