@@natiboi7656 a lot of people don't consider it canon. And it doesn't really matter if the original author gives the ok or not(but it helps), just as long as it doesn't interfere with the main story. GT doesn't interfere, and super seems to be trying to not contradict it, so it could still happen in-universe. It just seems to be less and less likely, why gain SSJ4 when there's SSB, ultra instinct, and (in the manga) ultra ego? I like GT and i love SSJ4, it just has plot holes that can't be ignored.
@@natiboi7656 With Dragon Ball, typically something is only canon if it is based on the manga. GT is not based on the manga; it was entirely Toei's creation. Additionally, Toriyama himself said that GT does not belong to the canon timeline.

Daizenshuu books that came out during the buu saga released by the toei company makes it so Potara is a AxB enhancement but Gogeta is A+B x C they never specified how much Gogeta is magnified by only that Gogeta has more potential then Vegito.

@@dimitrijames00001 the energy use limit was only applied recently during the goku black arc which had so many inconsistancies and retcon's it was rediculous. unless you count Ss4 gogeta's speed as an actual thing (because lets face it nothing to date as been shown to move so fast no one can see and Mui was about as fast as a "slown down" ss4 gogeta) this is basically a Tie.

@@dimitrijames00001 Here's the thing, technically speaking both fusions have an energy usage limit, the only reason gogeta seems better was because he paced himself towards ssgss, plus it was a movie so they couldn't do any character building. When presented both anime representations of the fusions (vegito being buu saga and black, gogeta being gt) we see that they're basically the same person, the only thing allowing one a win over another is the fact that the potara doesn't have a requirement like equal power levels, and it has a longer time limit if they pace themselves properly. Even if gt isn't canon, that doesn't necessarily mean that an anime version of gogeta wouldn't be just like gt's version.

One: I kinda agree with the people that say the Stardust Breaker wouldn't work on Vegito. Two: Why include SSJ4 at all if Gogeta just ends up going SSJ Blue? They are both pinnacle power-ups right now... But SSJ4 is no longer canon. So I'd rather have seen him do only one of those as his final power-up.

The soul punisher actually has a small chance of killing vegito in the manga since they are the same person as gogeta. The weapons vegito used on fused zamasu can possibly kill gogeta in an instant either expected or unexpectedly.
This would have been a perfect match up for one of my favorite lines:

The way the fusion dance works is that it requires you to be on equal strength with your partner while the potara doesn't require that and elder kai said that potara was superior to fusion although he didn't say how but since goku is always just a bit ahead vegito should in theory be ahead of gogeta in power

@@JonasRosado I believe he said it was superior was because it is quicker than the fusion dance and last longer. With the fusion dance you have to get the dance perfect you cant make any mistake but the potara all you need to do is put it on opposite ears and BOOM you fused

The soul breaker move gogeta used only works on pure evil. It makes no sense why vegito died from it
because he got him to try and kill him. vegito was planning to kill him without his defenses up. at the root of it that can be seen as evil. so he lost the arm he hit him with.

When Gogeta used soul punisher/soul breaker on broly, he didn't die. Well Gogeta won mostly because most people in dbz community like Gogeta more than vegito. Vegito is still superior and I don't see a reason why vegito should lose! He's the perfect fusion and is given by gods! The power level multiplies without any balancing so it's more powerful.

The way I see it SSJ4 Gogeta is portrayed much stronger relative to his main enemy (omega shenron) during the time he was able to stay fused, much more than Gogeta was to Zamasu/Broly, but I also think the god fusion would beat SSJ4 because of time limit reasons and their relative opponents being much stronger, but that's just my opinion.

Well for me, SSJB Gogeta was literally clowning on Broly, the guy couldn't land a single hit anymore after Blue and all he could do was take Gogeta's hits till Cheelai wished him out of earth before Broly got wasted.

Going off by dialogue, Potara combines their powers in a stable way, allowing for an hour of fusion
But the dance combines and quote "significantly multiplies" mean it's less stable but a greater power, giving only 30 minutes to do the job. With equal Goku and Vegeta strengths, dialogue shows Gogeta would be stronger but wouldn't handle a longer fight.
However, it's still doesnt matter because the plot demands failure and stupidity majority of the time

In my opinion, the restrictions of the dance fusion being 30 minutes and needing to wait to fuse again + needing to do the dance perfectly + matching power levels would logically make it stronger to compensate. As opposed to simply putting on some earrings and getting an hour fused, though I guess the artifacts required to do that are made by gods and very rare so it all evens out.
keep in mind that the SSJ4 fusion lasts for even less time. He'd have to make any fight really quick

Well, Potara was designed to be permanent (though the permanency only lasts for kais and stuff). So it definitely would deserve to be more powerful, though it could afford to be less powerful since the fusion dance lasts only a short while by design (meaning any fight needs to be over quickly).
Gotenks reduced his fusion time by going ssj3, so power output can and does affect fusion dance form. so really the only advantage you that Gogeta had is non-existent

Final Kamehameha would probably beat big bang Kamehameha, it has final flash in it which was only blocked when vegeta was still working it out and tried it on recoome besides that it legit cuts straght into anything it touches unless stronger i think, obviously x100 is a different story but why wouldn't they be able to do a x100 of final Kamehameha too

@@JanKowalski-iw8fc No-one is 100% good. The move would then work on anyone at all with that reasoning and it wouldn't be mentioned at all that it works specifically on evil entities.
Edit: The move is used against pure evil. So I guess people can be in the DB universe 100% evil or good but yeah the move only disintegrates 100% evil entities, otherwise just damages them.

Vegeto is technically stronger (is person A times person B + rival boost) but has a harsh power usage limit due to potaras only being made for gods, not saiyans

Blue is on a different level and the only statements we have in universe (+the official guide) marks vegito as a literal plot device. The debate is whether gogeta can avoid being slapped.
I like to think of it as "Vegito doesn't care about powerleveling before fusing, it just fuses and boom, both powers are multiplied", but Gogeta is like "The fusion dance is more powerful as it multiplies the fused one's power even further than Potara"

@@donte7584 Neither is really stronger than the other, Vegito is brute force and willpower, while Gogeta is magic and belief.
While we don't really know the exact multipliers for each fusion, we do know their limits:
1.- The dance is limited by the weaker of the two... In Vegeta and Goku's instance, however, that's a non-issue, since they're both roughly as strong.
2.- The dance always lasts 30 minutes and needs a 30 minute cooldown. There is a risk that the dance will not be done perfectly, resulting in an entirely useless combatant that is weaker than either of the parts for the full duration. After cooldown, you can try again, however.
3.- Potara fusion lasts for 1 hour normally, but can be cut down to 40 minutes if Vegito's fighting at 100%. After the Potara fusion ends, it cannot be done again.
Seeing this, and focusing only on points 2 and 3, the dance fusion is more reliable to have in the long run across multiple battles throughout an entire series' arc- simply because of re-useability. However...
In the 1v1, balls to the wall until one combatant is dead that DB and DBX are, the potara fusion has one clear advantage that should've given it the win IF we consider both fusions to be just as strong: time. Even cut down to the lowest 40 minutes, Vegito still has a solid 10 minutes grace time of fighting only Goku and Vegeta. And, after his time runs out, his Goku and Vegeta are fresh like a rose, while Gogetas' have had to take a 10 minute long beating from a far superior opponent. Then, they have 20 more minutes to make sure their adversaries do not have the strength to fusion dance again.
If Gogeta's Goku and Vegeta can beat those odds and STILL fuse again after that... Yes: the dance fusion can take the win. However, it's a bit of an unlikely scenario...

Assuming their power levels are perfectly even, I think Gogeta would realistically win. Vegito plays around and runs his mouth too much.
Fake DB fan smh. Vegito did what he needed to to get the job done by tricking Buu. He makes his enemies lose focus with taunting which weakens them. Also, Vegito gets a rival boost while Goku needs to lower down to Vegeta's level to fuse into Gogeta. Potara is blatantly stated tp be stronger and has 1 hour over 30 minutes.

That's what I thought. The stardust breaker is suppose to kill the EVIL and Vegito isn't evil. That's why it didn't work on Broly in DBS Broly so it was definitely forced here.

The “soul punisher only works on evil” thing isn’t canon. That was scraped as soon as gogeta was canon in the broly movie which is why broly wasn’t completely erased when it was used on him
