I mean, regardless of which side of the aisle someone is on the Goku/Superman and Vegeta/Thor fights, it just goes to show just how powerful DragonBall characters are, that it takes some of the absolutely most broken OP figures Marvel/DC have, to beat them.
DB characters could wipe the floor with a huge majority of the characters in both those rosters.

The whole thing with Vegeta trying to hold the hammer and being thrown by with a single second of him yelling as he falls is the single most Vegeta thing I have ever seen.

@@owenjames8575Wielding Mjolnir doesn’t just mean you have to be a Warrior, you have to have the strength to fight and kill in the name of good, to be a righteous warrior.
Vegeta is dark at heart and thus he can’t wield it, Spider-Man can’t wield it for the same reasons that Goku wouldn’t be able to wield it in that their hearts are too pure.
Imagine, just to rub salt on the wound, Goku appears and lifts Mjolnir and gives it back to Thor then flies away, then Thor saying, "now that man right there is worthy!"

It's a good line for an abridged comeback, but trying to make the dialogue fit the character wouldn't work. His universe is literally filled with gods around every corner and he's even one himself.

If you watched the movie (avengers 2) stark realised that vision could only lift the hammer because he was not an actual living being (i.e a robot basically) and the worthy criteria is only for actual living beings (like humans ,aliens ,etc) so thats why the elevator could carry the hammer like vision...

He's soo good at Vegita. Happy we get to see him reprise the role here (and critically with the Buu shorts, Vegita's atonement being most of what we wanted to see TFS tackle from that saga anyways.)

I like how Vegeta instant transmissions so that his Final Flash will be launched up towards orbit rather than the planet's core. He's not quite as much of a psychopath as he used to be.

@KumaoftheForest Not actually cause unlike the delusional goku fanboys we vegeta fans knew from the very start Vegeta can never ever come close to comic thor. Specially amped up versions which death battle didn't even bother to use.
While in goku vs superman the power gap is even more pathetic cause base superman is broken beyond definition let alone amped up versions.
If anything, I feel like they get bonus points because of how Vegeta had the advantage in the fight at first, but once Thor went berserk, that's when the tables majorly turned. So even if he won, it was definitely a hard fought battle, considerin Thor had to be at 10x efficiency to really hammer his face in.

The fact that everyone is always asking who's stronger, a Saiyan vs (whoever) means that Frieza was right to fear them.
Frieza didn't kill the Saiyajins out of fear, he was ordered by Beerus to kill the Saiyajins because they were too full of their pride, and Beerus didn't like that. Frieza was blamed for something that Beerus ordered of him to do. the whole fear thing was just something the Saiyajins like Vegeta made up in their heads in order to explain as to why Frieza would betray them.

They talk about Thor going for 40 days and 40 nights, but in the Thor 2020 comics, it’s stated that he fought for two years straight, without food or sleep, using only his hammer and lightning. And that nobody had ever heard of it because he had simply forgotten those two years due to how small it was in comparison to his life

And then you've got instances like the classic "For the Man Who Has Everything" where Wonder Woman is getting trounced by Mongul, only for Superman to zip in at the last minute and completely wreck him.

I mean, Golden Age versions are literally not even the same characters as the Silver Age versions, which goes back to the introduction of Earth 2 in the early 60's.
Even if we are talking about Golden Age material, I haven't read a ton of it, but some, and I'm not sure what you would point to that indicates WW as clearly more powerful. By the time Supes starts actually flying, I would be surprised if she were consistently portrayed that way.
I think it was War of Realms that he fought for a prolonged period of time without remembering because he was in his berserk mode and basically just kept killing until there was nothing left to kill. I forget exactly where...I think it was on the Frost Giant realm? Been awhile.

That ending was brutal, tbh I like how it referenced how much Vegeta actually gets grabbed by the head, like every single time hes screwed, his enemies just grab him by the head

Comic characters almost always win these due to the larger bodies of work that demand new feats throughout the decades long comic runs.

The sheer complexity and size is bigger than anything in dragon ball yet beyonder finds it so weak it’s LAUGHABLE.

Just marvel alone has over 37,000 comics and ONGOING.
There’s no series that got that amount of lore and power scaling out there.

But powerscaling literally been the meta for everyone but deathbattle for a long time now
@@s12franticzirrgrizznoobzs66 I think his thought process is more in the lines of technique, rather than brut force. This argument would be more preferable to Goku, since his ultra form is Instinct. Technique and logistics could end Thor in minutes if Vegeta's perks are used to full potential. With Goku it could end in seconds, keep that in mind.

When Vegeta went for the Final Flash I knew he was going to lose. He's literally never won after using that attack. Should have used his suicide attack instead.
or he should have hakai'd Mjolnir, thor resisted existence erasure, Mjonir didn't, after that thor loses his ability to will the energy out of vegeta/absorb ki, and ultra ego can overpower thor as a result.

The moment vegeta spammed ki blasts we all knew he was gonna get clapped harder then he was against 18.
I want to point out that they only gave Thor his base form and his rage state for this fight. All of the ridiculous stats at the end were for base Thor.
I honestly think his Thorforce state (his strongest form) is in the top 5 strongest Death Battle characters.
And Odinforce is top 3 at least probably

Yeah! And Vegeta following it up with "All you will feel is OBLIVION!" God both voice actors were on point this episode. And the fake out after Vegeta's Final Flash where the music starts to calm down before rising right back up! One of the best Death Battles we've gotten in a while.

Vegeta catching the hammer, then getting consequently speared into the ground made me audibly laugh out loud. That's definitely something he would do.

He is the first one to leap into battle inspiring all those around him, and yet even he is unable to wield Thor's hammer often. Like five times I think. Vegeta and Goku are nowhere near Captain America's standard so they wouldn't be able to pick up the hammer.

Lanipator is categorically one of the best Vegetas I've ever heard. That's not an overstatement. He can perfectly bring notes of Brian Drummond's unhinged rage, and not lose the prideful, regal notes of Chris Sabat. I love him.

They honestly just dumb. They said ssg vegeta can destroy 13 universes, while goku in bog threaned the whole db macrosim aka 3 universes, and got that power to base. So they saying bog ssj goku one shots ssg vegeta in the manga lmao
If you are talking about Hulk VS Broly, its analysis is outdated and used a less accurate method of DB multipliers.
In Hulk VS Broly, they said base Goku was 9×Universal and used the SSj1, SSj2 and SSj3 multipliers before using the "unknown SSB multiplier".
But in Goku Black VS Reverse Flash and Thor VS Vegeta, they consider a new "base form" after the SSG power absorption. So basically, SSG is Goku and Vegeta new base form.
Moreover, they used a Toriyama line, roughly saying "SSB is like the SSj1 of SSG", giving an estimation of SSB multiplier (SSB = 50xSSG) and outdating SSj1, SSj2 and SSj3 multipliers.
So now, they estimate Base Goku and Vegeta at 13xUni (because DB universe is potentially 13x bigger instead of 9) and the following evolution:
SSB = 50xBase
SSB Evolved = SSBxKaioken = 20xSSB
Ultra Ego = 20xSSB Evolved

Though, it's not _inconceivable_ that Vegeta could count as worthy: The specific requirements are very unclear but seem to amount to: "Brave and noble warriors with a lot of fighting spirit who would use the hammer against evil."
This doesn't necessarily mean they have to be the nicest people, but they have to be willing to throw down and do what needs to be done: Captain America has been known to qualify, likely on account of being a soldier, while someone like Spider-Man wouldn't due to not having the right "warrior spirit."
When the God Tempest took control of the hammer and spoke to Thor, it pointed out that it was a _hammer_ that wanted to smash things, and that Thor had started to get a bit boring. It also heavily implied that it decides for itself who is and isn't worthy, which is probably why the criteria is so vague.
Vegeta's "pride before the fall" moments are his most iconic...and hilarious.
