    Are they any zoning laws in the city?
    Seems to have a mix of commercial and residential buildings all together.

    Thank you for mentioning the name of the church. I was wondering which denomination it was. Anglican, catholic, Presbyterian?
    I think it would be nice if someone did a video on churches in and around Georgetown.

    Do we have a building and code ministry that regulates how buildings are constructed

    • @RaphaelNation
      @RaphaelNation  Před 2 měsíci

      No but all building plans and construction drawings must be approved by the city engineers.

      Until the government input a standard then these inconsistencies will continue that is what should be addressed that government needs to put national standard to be followed

      @@huldahrodney-lattimore9557 1000% agreed. You are allowed to build whatever you want where ever you want as there are no longer building codes, Laws or Rules in Guyana. You can see this everywhere. PPP Government is Friends and Family business.

    Are those buildings able to withstand an earthquake? Just curious about safety or preservation when is comes to potential natural disasters

    It sad to see what they are doing to Georgetown architecture. We are slowly losing it or have lost it. Everything they are destroying. The roads, parpets, drains , sidewalks, trees. Good God! Georgetown is now an ugly shitty city. No appeal or aesthetics😢 that Queenstown neighborhood was so beautiful when I was a little boy. Now look what it is becoming, a ghetto 😢😮😢

      An engineer manager said to me when you come to discuss a project tell me 3 things:
      1 how did they build it,
      2 what's wrong with it,
      3 what is the plan/proposal for it.

      @ianbynoe6515 Indeed very sad to see what our landscape has become and continues to look like. I call GY a "Giant Cesspit". Funny thing though the people who still live there would not stand up and do the right thing, speak up they just allow the lawlessness to continue. Sad indeed because Not everyone can leave Guyana for better. Where are our Community leaders, Fathers and Brothers etc. All spineless.
