As a Charlton fan it’s well depressing when everyone else also thought we’d do well this season. Everyone says our recruitment was good this year but our recruitment was a big reason we finished 16th. Only 5 clean sheets all year, 20 draws, only 11 wins says it all really. Yes we had three managers but the signings especially the summer ones apart from May of course have not worked at all and I hope and think Nathan Jones will get rid of most of the squad because he is not impressed with most of them, particularly after the final day. Without Alfie May and Nathan Jones we’d be in Sky Bet League Two right now so next season must be better.
Pool should've made the play offs, to think we could've snuck in on the last day had we won at reading is such a sickening blow as other results went our way. It would've been deserved as well considering we'd have won 5 on the bounce by that point as well and would therefore have taken all the momentum in there with us so yeah proper sickening feeling really this week but either way best of luck to oxford and barnsley who did get in there. Those two occupied top 6 spots most of the season so i suppose it's right that they got over the finish line. Also best of luck in league 2 as well next year ben, I'm sure fleetwood will do ok in that division.

What many of the worst-performing clubs have in common is managerial instability. Three managers in a season seldom works out well.
Some great predictions there Ben. How did you compare to the rest of TLOP. It's virtually impossible to predict before the season starts.

Impossible to make predictions, my team Vale had a horrendous January window after relying on loan players for the first half of the season. To expect to stay up with Loft, Wilson and Ikpeazu up top was suicidal.
Can’t believe you let Ellis Harrison go, he is a proven goalscorer at this level.

I was at Fleetwood vs Wycombe and I have to say your team wasn’t the worst, but it just looked like they lacked confidence.
I thought you did well overall Knappers and showed your knowledge of the division.. Everyone's going to have a couple of ones that they get badly wrong but you had far fewer than most.

I did not think we would go up as Champions. I would have been annoyed if we didn't get play offs. Maybe 3-6th. We just seem to have a belief this year that it was our turn and that came from probably 10-12 games in. People took the piss but actually its how it played out, wobble aside at Christmas. Thought Oxford would do better after their start but the change did for them - or has it?! Charlton massively underperformed. Bolton and P.Borough mildly too. Stevenage and Lincoln excellent seasons. Orient not bad. Thought Fleetwood would stay up.
