Your knowledge and memory of the previous decade is phenomenal Ben. I can barely remember who Fleetwood played two days later. Some of the players we have had at the club have been great. Others less so. There have been some lows and highs and I guess relegation is the lowest we have witnessed with the club. Some players are sure to leave but I reckon with the continuity of keeping Adam plus a few shrewd signings during the summer and this ship can be steady again.

Commiserations Ben, it's just a fact of life that sometimes things have to get a little worse before they can get better. A bit of time being a bigger fish (sorry...) in a smaller pond will get Fleetwood reacquainted with winning ways and I'm sure you'll soon be back with purpose renewed. I know one thing that Fleetwood were a bloody hard side for us Ipswich to play against and they loved scoring late goals against us 😭 Still love listening to your league 1 coverage and will definitely be following you in league 2. Hi Ben Cambridge fan here, great vlog it's a load of if only's and i have had my fair share of them. I said it before I thought Fleetwood should have stayed up "if only" was Johnson given enough time, "if only" Adam has come in sooner. Adam has been a revelation and I have know doubt, no doubt at all he will see you back in league one. Last point is really Wembley best way to get promotion? Oh I get it but surely to win the title is best but we'll done to all EFL & National league teams who got over the line an got the promotion job done! Next season we may all look at the top spot an wonder is this the season but it is the likes of my team an Fleetwood an other teams who are subsequently dismissed as relegation fodder who can be the real winners! 😂
Ben This video is excellent and says a lot of things which Harry knows and talks about . As regards CA he might be the best person for the job and guide the club back up to where hopefully we should be not giving any time scale on that . . My motto for when I type things on the Cod Army site is >>>>>> Onwards , Upwards & Forwards the Cod Army will Go. All players should think of wearing the Fleetwood shirt as a badge of honour and also believe it is a special shield which they play for to win matches for the Cod Army as they march on to victory

I’ve always enjoyed my visits to Highbury with my beloved Barnsley. I’ve been every time we’ve played in the league.
My first visit was a 0-0 draw, early season, warm evening game under the lights and you played some lovely passing football. I remember being impressed by your playing surface too - it was like a bowling green.
That was our first season in the league wasnt it!

Agree with everything you said. Now it's all about making sure that the people of Fleetwood have a club to support. It's about stopping the rot and making sure that you have a competitive team next season and stay up, so you have something to build on. Sometimes things can go downhill very fast. Just look at Forest Green Rovers, and other clubs too have suffered two relegations in a row. I wish you and Fleetwood Town all the best.

Good summary. At the start of the season we should have got rid of all the players who didn’t want to be at Fleetwood anymore. That was a massive missed opportunity.

Commiserations, mate. Fleetwood had become an established League 1 club so the relegation must really hurt, as opposed to getting promoted and discovering the team isn't good enough thus getting relegated. It's probably a very small consolation but you'll have an opportunity to vlog from some new grounds.
I should get 7 new grounds in which I’ve needed for awhile, I have 0 so far in LG1 next season so a good league to miss haha. Up to 66/92 after next season. Or 62/72! 😊
If you do change managers i dont know what John Coleman is doing now but he would be my choice used to working with a small budget and knows his stuff.

The off field issues with your owner has affected everything else at the club i reckon. Unfortunately this is a common problem throughout football. I think Charlie Adam is the man to rebuild confidence in the team and get you promoted though. Give him the tools to do the job and he'll get it done.

Season ticket holder at Fleetwood and the appointment of Lee Johnson was a joke, bloody awful manager. Charlie Adam will get us back to league 1

Not sure where you get this from. The biggest mistake that AP made is his lack of succession planning. Good people left in charge for sure but with zero strength of character to provide the leadership that is required to succeed. This void allowed some players who didn't want to play for us to cause trouble and down tools for 5/6 games in December which has ultimately resulted in our relegation. The buck stops with AP of course but these players are mainly to blame imo. And one of them is still at the club. He needs to go if we are to move forward together.
