- YES the aquarium backgrounds are finally here!!! I'm excited to have these realistic backgrounds for my aquariums and terrariums from AquaDecor Backgrounds. It's been a long time in the making, and I can't wait to now get to work setting up the four 120 gallon aquariums from Custom Aquariums that have been patiently waiting on the floor since the beginning of the year! Worth the wait. :)
AquaDecor provided these backgrounds to me free of charge, but they aren't sponsoring this video. As always, my opinions are my honest own and these backgrounds speak for themselves as to why I'm so excited! lol :P

ooh thats tough. I think fake rock backgrounds look really cool, but roots are best for fish or animals that don't live on the surface
That's a really hard choice! But I personally prefer the stone ones.
Solid Gold Aquatics the rocks are beautiful, but the detail in the tree roots is amazing. I love the mangrove look.

Your fish room is coming together so amazingly! It's al so much better than I could ever imagine... really inspirational too! I'd love to have a fish room too one day! Right now I have to do it with one aquarium haha. But I love my aquarium :)

It's easy to do :P Just got aquarium #2, and because I'm doing all this on a tight budget (only way I can right now), I'm making my own background out of foam and concrete (I got the idea from one of the King of DIY videos :D) BUT, my plan is to retire to a piece of property with a well, and a building which can become my fish room :D Only 30 or so years to wait >_>
Those backgrounds are gorgeous. I can't wait to see the slate one put together. Also, can't wait to see the goldfish from sideview again.
I’m in LOVE with the fake tree trunks ! I love “junglely” type of setups, so they are my favorit. But the rock one look darn cool too ! I’m so curieus to see your setups with them !

the "black and white slate" (as you described it) just makes me think of like dragon scales and that is so rad.

I absolutely love the blue/white rock slates. So amazing!
The material used for flexible 3d background is called simpact made by smooth on. Its a 2 part epoxy that cures in minutes... First step is to cut up a syrofoam model of what you want, then cast the model which involves painting rubber or silicone over the syrofoam model. Then you poor the 2 part epoxy into the casting. The mold is polyurethane so its inert and nonetoxic once cured. You can also duplicate any rock you want by this method.
How much fun for you. Can't wait to see then installed

You should try turning the first one around. Pretty sure you have it upside down. Those trees would be thicker at the top and the thinner roots going down. Thought I would pass along the fyi, it was making my off twitch! Lol
