I visited Greensboro back in 2018. I was there for a night. I had to head back to Atlanta. My friend had a traffic citation in Henderson,N.C. and I took him to court to pay his fine. We stopped in Raleigh, Durham and Greensboro.
Youâre a good friend to drive them back!

No, you wouldnât. Itâs a dud. Also violent with a large ghetto population. You can highlight anyplace in a few minutes and make it look good. Sure, Greensboro is cheap but thereâs a reason.

I live on the West Coast now but grew up in Montgomery County, Ashton/Sandy Spring, MD. I do miss the four seasons---especially the flowers in spring and the autumn colors in fall!

Don't forget about the ballpark. A great place to catch a baseball game with friends and family downtown. And there is a beautiful greenway that loops around downtown. The city just also started a free downtown trolley with four buses dressed up like historic trolleys. There are a number of development projects underway such as the 12 story Westin Hotel, 10-story AC Hotel and a developer is planning a major mixed-use project that could consist of hundreds of apartments and two 10-story office towers

We do have both great neighborhoods and good school systems! I was just doing a loop downtown. I forgot to mention the museums downtown as well!

I graduated UNCG 1979 and returned a couple years later for a great period of work and social life. Believe it or not, I sold cell phones there in 1984 for one of the early entrants. First guy by the pool with a suitcase demo phone. Whatever happened to the Rhinoceros downtown? And Romberg's on Battleground?
How great is this? Now cellphones are everywhere! I had one in a bag that you plugged into a cigarette lighter. ha. The old Rhino was the best! You had a key to get in--with the fans on the ceiling. That was one of my old stomping grounds! It's a cafe now. I don't Rombergs. That sounds interesting.

Hmm, it seems there's a lot of parks and greenery.....I suppose that's why it's called Greenboro. ("Green" and "boro", a shorten form of borough!)

Does Greensboro have an outdoor food court kind of like Charolette does?
We don't have a food court per say but we do have a lot of outdoor dining/restaurants downtown. Downtown is totally walk-able and easy to navigate

Iâm âan engineer by day, musician by nightâ and Greensboro isnât great for full-time professional musicians⊠not many good places to play live performances (with decent pay) and itâs one of the things I missed most moving here in 2009 from Phoenix, AZ (and many years in the DC area before that)⊠Iâm still here only because of my engineering job and wouldnât have moved here otherwise because itâs quite boring here, although itâs gotten a little better in recent years especially with the opening of the Steven Tanger Center for Performing Arts⊠but itâs still boring. Most full-time musicians I know here have to travel out of town and/or out of state weekly, returning just in time to play for church services on Sundays, and then itâs back on the road.
I escaped G-boring 6 years ago and never looked back!
I hate you didn't love it here, but I hope you are soooo happy where ever you are now!
I lived in the Triad as a kid for 5 yrs. When my father announced we were moving back to San Diego, I got down on my knees and thanked God. And Iâm not even religious.

I heard the Brown Summit area of Greensboro is a nice place especially for Black Americans. I want to relocate from Atlanta to North Carolina. Charlotte is the area I would like to live but I also want to live in an area that I can afford so I may consider living somewhere like Salisbury or Lexington N.C. Greensboro may be better to live than Charlotte.
Charlotte is great but a BIG city! It costs way more to live there than here. So greensboro is more of a city than Lexington but will cost a bit more housing wise.

I moved away when I was still a kid, but she doesn't sound even a little like North Carolina. I suppose television has done that. She does try to keep "uptalking" to a minimum, for which I am grateful.

Well I hate to hear that. San Diego is a much larger city and vibe for sure. Just give it some time. You'll find your people and things to occupy your time. Try a day trip too! The leaves will be changing soon đ

It appears that drinking is the primary activity of Greensboroeans. I wonder what that tells me.
The primary industries of this area used to be textiles and tobacco. Textiles went to the third world and tobacco got taxed out of existence. Craft breweries are a great way of plugging in those holes, and we have a lot of patinated red brick buildings for ambience!

This video was so DISAPPOINTING! How can you do a tour of downtown Greensboro without mentioning the International Civil Rights Museum? Why did you ignore the few Black own restaurants ie Dames Chicken and Waffles? Your channel showed up in my algorithm and intrigued me but this video has given me an more accurate picture of who you are.
Iâm sorry you feel that way and I will respectfully disagree 100% with you. I couldnât go over every single restauran downtown. Also, I didnât walk the block where the civil Rights Museum is located. I planned on doing an entire video of the Museums of Greensboro and having the. Viol Rights Museum as the top see video. One videoâs omission does NOT show you an âaccurate picture of who I amâ. You donât know me what so ever and shouldnât be so quick to judge. Come back and see the video on the museums when I see it. And I canât wait to highlight the Dameâs Chicken and Waffles đ
