I lived in Greensboro for 30 years. No excitement and very slow i.e. the pace, the way people talk. Jobs are mostly retail and restaurants and Wal-Mart. If you like the slower pace of life and the quietness, then Greensboro is Ok. You like excitement and entertainment and a better place to live out your dreams, then a bigger city is more for you.

I would LOVE to live in a neighborhood like this. Its my American dream. Unfortunately, most of us Malaysian/ Chinese immigrants can only afford between $100,000-$300,000 USD for a home or to build a home, which would not be nearly enough to live here. It is very sad that us immigrants work our entire life in restaurants, mostly to send our kids to college, and then when we are older, we do not have enough money to purchase a comfortable home like this. Its very depressing, watching your video makes me sad, despite the cheerful music. 😢By the way, I have a friend who lives in Greensboro. He is 69 years old, his wife just died. His daughter went to college but dropped out in her 3rd year to pursue a relationship with a American man who ended up getting her pregnant and dumping her. Now, she is back home and the restaurant isn't doing well, its a local one you probably heard of, and life is very depressing. They recently had to get rid of their apartment near Glenwood to move into a home in the Hayes/Taylor neighborhood, which is a very bad area. But they have no choice due to rising costs of everything. They are scared everyday. Life is so unfair.

How is the fine art (specifically drawing/painting) scene currently there? I'm considering moving there in the future. Obviously, I don't expect as much as a bigger city. But, I'd like to move to an area that still has a growing art community. And I know the Triad population in general is growing.

I would never live in Greensboro. Its a bad city, they don't care for the citizens and treat everyone like they're second class. My mom lived there for 11 years. Poor woman was constantly talked about by her neighbors, she couldnt make friends. Neighbors called her a black sheep. By the way, youre gorgeous. You have a interesting vibe about you.. you seem kinda odd. I like your vibe.

The fine arts center is great. I took pottery there too. Very inexpensive. I live in Charlotte now because i grew up in Greensboro and call it Greensboring, but I do miss the reasonably priced pottery classes.

I've lived in GSO for 12 years and have never experienced any crime, but the related issue is the slow response of law enforcement for just about anything other than traffic accidents.

I'm from MI and I would love to move to NC because of it's nicer weather. Our weather is like rollercoaster. Do houses have crawlspace in NC? Also where do they install the furnace?

You started the video off talking really fast and you sounded like my realtor who use to work for Tyler, Redhead & McAlister. She has her own real estate firm now.

No aggressive driving? She's really wrong on that one. Crime? Yeah, certain sections are bad, but a lot of "good" areas have really bad areas right next to them. You likely have to go out to the suburbs to avoid it. Another topic she avoids is car taxes. Your car is considered property and is taxed. Like most taxes, you pay more if you are in the city limits. Another topic to consider is the pollen here is really, really bad. It's not a place for you if you struggle badly with allergies. It's not an awful place to live, don't get me wrong, but know what you are getting if you move here.

I live in Guilford Hills and love it - the location is unbeatable, and the neighborhood is very quiet. We paid $330k for our house a few years ago.

I wouldn't live in Greensboro , I think its a sub tier city, and for 600k I could buy 5 of the houses I currently live in and still have cash left. move to the country of NC and forget paying over 300k for housing.

Love the downtown part of Greensboro

Fisher is my favorite neighborhood in greensboro if I could afford it that's where I would be but I like, "Where I am at Rankin all these neighborhoods except for the cardinal are close to downtown and I like that city feel the cardinal feels like your in the county but they are doing a lot building on that side here of late
