How do I use fresh water instead of tank water? Would I just add water and dechlorinater then float to make it the right temp? I agree this would be better than tank water, less ammonia and what not.
There should be no ammonia in the tank. I just use water from the tap that is dechlorinated.

I'd love to see that video made on what people say and what works, for example I don't use any de-chlorinated water and no heater on a tank full of big south American cichlids and they've made it through 5 winters getting down to 15 degrees Celsius

Thanks Michael. Only things I’ve shipped so far are snails and plants. All my fish have been sold locally. Once my L134, L46, L333 and L397 plecos start spawning I will need to ship. No local market for exotic plecos. I always thought it was more air than water, not the other way around. At 5:30 you state “more water than air”. Perhaps a mix up? Anyways, thanks for sharing, I’m not a guppy guy but still enjoy watching all your vids. 👍 🍿

Also, I didn't think you really explained how to insulate the box. I know you said that you add filler so they don't move around but not how you insulate the boxes. Do you add heat packs or cold packs?

Where in the world do you get the containers? I see Lee's specimen containers are like $15 each for the large ones and I am not willing to spend that much when I need to purchase like 8-10 of them.

When I buy new fish I'm handling my bags of fish wayyyyy calmer than you just showed, so I was a little shocked. I guess they can take more than I thought otherwise you wouldn't show it?
Maybe I'm a big softy but I still like to ask you if you could please handle them a little calmer... :)

If you are just selling locally do you still need to use breather bags or would the basic plastic work since the guppies would be in the bag for hours not days?
When you go to your LFS, do they use breather bags?
Looks like optimal shipping methods. Is there a maximum or minimum temperature of destinations that you adhere to when shipping live fish?
Good question! At least the 40’s at nights all the USPS facilities have heat and air. And under the 90’s during h day

I've got nearest 1000 Aranda goldfish to move on this year and was wondering how I do that was a wonderful video full stop one question though goldfish in Australia I assume will need cold packs it's freaking hot here through summer and through winter in the sun. How long have you known cold packs to work for

Age is relevant, it is more size, but nothing less than 3/4 of an inch.

-1trio adult guppy per bag for three bag(ship medium flat rate box priority). Or
1fish per bag, = 6 individual bag.
(Ship large flat rate priority)
The larger cost more but, which is maximum survival rate? And or is bagging individual bags a little too unnecessary?

You email the customer a tracking number and they use that to track it🤔

I use cheap stuff, amazon and Ebay.....But all I grow is java moss and water sprite.
do you need styrofoam on the outside, i’m thinking of packing newspaper on the bottom and sides and filling the box with shredded newspaper so the bag doesn’t move, will this work?
In use styrofoam to keep in heat in the winter. Your idea sounds like it will work.

i hope your shipment does better than the last one i got.i order 5 guppies(they sent 5 grown fish and 4 fry . not fasted.singled bagged . the bag was twist and banded .not even fold over).they shipped them on sat.i got them on thur.i paid for 1 or two day shipping. they was in all in one bag smaller than you used.the box had packing peanuts.need less to say i got a bunch of steamed guppy soup.i was sad when i open the box.as a buyer .i think that anyone that ships fish .should know how to ship fish.i know things can go wrong.i didnt raise hell with the shipper.i was nice.i got my refund on the fish.but still feel cheated because the shipper didnt know how to ship.sorry for the rant. i hope your video helps save someone fish order. have a great day.
