Lupe makes alot of sense. I was actually confused a couple of years ago talking hip hop with some friends where they thought of K-dot and J-cole as the best lyricist ever. When I bring up lupe into the conversation it was like nah Lupe too nice (as if that was a wack thing to be). Long story short, I realized that to be acceptable as a lyrical artist you have to be basic. I consider kendrick and cole to be entry level lyrcist. With the strongest Fan base of people who don't want to be considered dumb but they will stand their ground on their favorite rapper.
