I have a nice one no wrecks with 70k on a dealer installed new short block at 66k, been in dry storage since heart failure, silver on black 6 speed needs to go.

It actually sounds sick for stock exhaust
I believe the rear section is not stock. Someone just cut off the tips that came on the exhaust system. It's a racing beat muffler back there or something. They pointed that out during the inspection of the undercarriage

Josh is an absolute professional. Who, through little effort, is able to convey the passion he has for what he does. Ontop of that he delivers knowledge and explains the process of what he's doing flawlessly. I don't know where you find people like Garreth and Josh, but we need more of them both around here damnit.

following josh's recommendation, keeping the oil topped up and adding 2stroke oil to fuel, those apex seals will last quite some time.

When the smaller mechanic took about 5 minutes to explain in great detail what he was going to do, you could see Alex's eyes glazing over, not knowing what the fuck he was talking about. "Yeah but what about the flames??" Haha. Loving this series! (Former RX-8 owner here.)

Rotary Revs were always one of the biggest RX8 specialists people mentioned in the Owners Club (along with Hurley Rotary (HME) and LC Rotary) so it's nice to see them getting some reputation!

Yeah it can be a big problem. Gotta remember the OMP squirting engine oil into the combustion. I still use straight mineral on my 13B.
So why is modern 2 stroke oil fully synthetic? Or is four stroke oil specifically made to not burn

As a fellow RX-8 owner, I'm really enjoying this series! It'd be so awesome to see an RX-8 built around absolute handling ability, to the point of doing stuff like custom spring rates and revalved dampers, adjustable sway bars, bushings, chassis braces, and all those other little things that very few people go to the trouble of doing! I'm hoping to build mine that way, it just takes a lot longer when I'm working with a fraction of the cash flow that a well known company like you guys have. These cars are world class in terms of cornering ability, even against modern cars, and to see one taken all the way to the limits in that aspect would be amazing!

I'm not familiar with the term, but from context it's a type of porting (sounds like a cross between Street Port and Bridge Port - no bridge, but larger exhaust?)
@@logicalChimp I feel like your explaining a half bridge.. I think its beyond a full bridge hence the term "RACE EXTENSION!!“ (heavy metal music plays)
@@Dan_AYP Hmm _ I thought that he said it didn't have an actual bridge, but the primaries were extended (like a street port), and the exhaust was also heavily ported... but like I said before, I don't know and was just trying to infer from context :D
