Murder Nova vs Promod at the Midwest Promod Series!

- Murder Nova usually runs in no prep but on this day he entered his car in a promod race at Tulsa Raceway Park. Murder Nova didn't disappoint with running down the race track with some good runs! The competition was running in the high to mid 3's and watch the video to see what numbers the murder nova runs. We also threw in extra footage of some unique cars in the video as well. My brother and I were there, and we saw Sean standing by himself on the phone. I'm not sure why, but I was probably more starstruck than if I'd seen a movie star. I think he's a cool dude, and an awesome car for sure!
One of the BADDEST cars around. Shawn will put the Nova in a lane next to ANYTHING or ANYONE at ANYTIME. Nothing but respect for him and his whole team. Gotta say the whole 405 as a unit just BADASS.
Chief said that in an interview they had to make a minimum amount of time rule for a race after a call out cause if you call Shawn out he will be ready to race right then and name the spot right then so they had to come up with the 6 day rule where when called out the soonest you could race is 6 days cause Shawn was always ready so if you aren’t don’t call him out

Shawn always had Chief to tune for him all the years and now hes learnin a whole new car, new set up, new motor, new chassis... I'm happy Daddy Dave is helping Shawn but that been his Achilles heal was doing it all himself... I believe after this season that car will be straighten out with Dave's help and it will Fly... dont take my statement as shawn cant do it by himself,,, hes learning more than just being a driver and that takes time!! Hope him and Chief get back rollin at the top together again!!! Shawn tuning and chassis his car himself and Chief doing his thing!!! That will be great to see!! Car looks fast as hell.. once he gets that chassis worked out... look out!!!

I don't know if you have watched chiefs interview with Sim but the 405 didn't turn on shawn. Shawn, for a little while at least was juat tired of everything that was going on at Midwest Street cars because chief was so focused on just racing that he left all of the actual client work to shawn and Kentucky to do. On top of all the work, Shawn was also racing and doing the show which was taking every bit of time away from his family life. So he split from Midwest and slowed down so he and his dad could start 187 customs. Nobody turned their back on him, he just chose to step away for a bit and its worked wonders in his life. He back racing but on his terms and schedule, he's running his shop and seeing some good buisness and he gets more time with his family now too. Chief talk about all of this in the interview. They really are best friends still and the 405 is still the 405. Chief even admits Shawn was trying to tell him to chill out with racing because he was losing his wife and kids and his buisness. But they're all straight with each other. If anything, this all worked out for the better for Shawn and his relationship with the 405 crew.

Nobody turned on anyone . They just seen things differnet and split . Shawn wasn't putting the time in as chief was . Then again shawn family time was important as well. Go watch chiefs interview.
Ryan Martin is there with him also. The 405 is still the 405. The only person they ever really turned on was reapers ass lol. Chief and Shawn just saw things differently when it came to the shop and racing so they went separate ways on the business side of shit. Still all well

Who ever sets Shawns wheelie bars has the left one up about 2 inches and thats why he keeps going left!
Takes a lot more than wheelie bar adjustment off to make a left that hard......
Not to mention, these guys have been running high level cars for a long time.....but sure he's probably doing it wrong I hope he sees your comment so they can fix their program 🙄

Shawn's first pass from a head on view, his f. tires were in the air, you could see the rear tires and passenger side rear tire had lower pressure which forced his car left. Now I say lower pressure, maybe it had more pressure down on it by track bar. but watch video and you will see passenger rear tire was definitely wrinkled up much more which forced car left. Just an observation, any thoughts?
By watching video from the rear you can see right rear car sags forcing it left

No its not. Its a stock style body with steel parts and a single frame rail chasis. Thats not a promod.

There's no way that car is a single frame rail chassis? I'd be surprised if it was. And steel parts doesnt make it 'not a pro-mod'. Typically a pro-mod has a modified wheelbase from what the factory produced. However to say the murder Nova is a street car because it has steel roof and quarter panels....ok.....
@@kalebhall2925 you know what i revisted the video where he debuted the new murder nova and youre right, its a double frame rail. There's two videos where he sends the original murder nova to Tim mcamis to work on the chasis. Then, in the 1320 video where he debuts the new car, it has a shot where you can see the floor of the new chasis and you can clearly see it having a double frame rail support system. But from what I understand is he did not change the wheel base from the old set up when he build the new car, he upgraded to a double frame rail and began running a small block so he could get the tuning he wanted and so he could rev up to 9500 rpm. And he also still has a steel body. So by the standards these guys go by, its still a "street car". And we all know street car here is a stretch. But yeah you're right, its got a double frame rail chasis.
