As to people making comments on "an icy track" . The actual shine on the track is adhesion that is sprayed onto the track at a meeting AND after an incident if any fluid has been lost from a vehicle of any sort. Many fluids now contain silicone ,so after a clean up of spillage,an adhesive is sprayed so more traction to accelerate. This answers your question.
As a crew member of a race team for 25 years, and enjoyed every minute. It is still nice to hear John the knowledge drag race commentator even still after all these years . Mass salute sir!👍
The track has changed BUT so do times. Make the most of it due to tree huggers and the likes. Thanks for reading😉

i watched a 1320 vid last night with a full standing quater mile with a parachute out, kyle said it didnt happen often and he's only seen it this one time in his whole life, this got me thinking and i dont remember ever seeing one too, then i come watch your vid and woah, another full standing quater with the cutes out, nice run to avoid that tumbling mustang kieran and happy new year everyone ;)

I watch a lot of drag racing streams on twitch. It happens more than you think. Usually it is the chute cord that messed up. Rarely is it the driver that reached up when he took off and hit it. Hell say a 6 second pass with chute out on the 1/8. Dude was pissed he was the rare one that just reached wrong else would have been a good 4 second pass in the 1/8.
Was the one on 1320 you seen he gapped the other with his chute out?

Yeah he had a few big explosions last year!
Both small cars that recked. I noticed that the backend of both cars lifted up when they let off the throttle. It’s like they are to lite in the back because the wheels lost contact of the track went they let off the throttle and therefore causing them to lose braking in the rear. I would try putting weight in the back. I know they probably don’t like that idea but I believe it will prevent it from losing brake traction.

as an American, its so weird not to see a bunch of fox body Mustangs racing.
We have so few over here, it’s a nice change when we do see them! 😅 Most common car at RWYB days here are any of the BMW M, Audi RS/S or Mercedes AMGs.

I have never understood why they don't erect a concrete barrier down the middle of a drag strip to prevent out-of-control cars from crashing into the other car. Can someone explain that to me, given the already tremendous expense involved in constructing a drag strip and the ungodly expense of repairing crashed cars?

I watch a lot of drag racing streams and I will say that bikes other than Harley's are the most annoying things at the track. Hell give me a 13B-rew over a bike all day long even though they loud and high pitched still no where close as annoying as a crotch rocket. Some of these cars need to come to the States and race here so we don't have to see the same cars over and over. Hell a lot should cross the pond and go there. Would be interesting.

Some events like RWYB days just won’t have a crowd there, you’ll only see crowds at the FIA championship events or bigger themed shows
