I remember getting a glass of wine in the McDonald's I went to in Rome. Place was so nice looking, with terrazzo floors, fancy wrought iron looking chairs, flowers, etc. Even the entance was low key fancy, with two brass arches on the wall instead of yellow plastic.

Yes they don’t even allow the same grade of meat here as the one in the US and a lot of other products so all the prices are higher, and with that comes the higher quality restaurant and service in general
And we (Italian)considered that the worst food that we could eat,we eat it rarely
It’s because mc Donald’s was closing down shops in Italy so it had to do offer a better menu. Several Italian chefs were paid to make better tasting burgers for the chain.

What? Well... In my country, Indonesia, that McD is the same as in US. So if I want Burger, I wouldn't order from McD. I'll choose BK since it's better but yeah it's a little bit costly. Tbh there are lots of local good burger nowdays that I prefer, not only BK & McD.

Not going to lie, first time in Italy many years ago we didn't know where to go to eat there was no internet to search for restaurants, some places sold really expensive and bad food, so ended up going to a mcdonalds a couple of times, wasn't bad.
Italian McDonald sells pasta and ever since I experienced that no other McDonald experience compares.

There was once a pasta salad, but it's long gone from the menu

@@BajagaCibona Not Spain. When I lived in Madrid, never paid for condiments. When I visited Italy, they wanted me to pay for ketchup when I asked for some when they were giving me my bag of food. But the worker back there hooked it up and threw some ketchup at me when his manager wasn’t looking. I hope I didn’t get the guy in trouble, lol.

American mcdonalds is like the absolute best case scenario of a lunch you could get from an american public school depending on which city or state you get it from.
For reference public school lunches in the US consists of mostly microwaveable foods, super greasy slightly off italian food you would get from somewhere like olive garden on the barely edible side of the menu, or arguably the best choice… spicy chicken sandwich and peach cobbler

I am italian, there are lots of diffrent things at the italian mcdonald, there are more burgers like:
-Crispymcbacon is a burger with cheddar cheese, bacon and a parricular sauce, like in the big mac there is the big mac sauce, in the crispy there is the crispymcbacon sauce
-there are the "my selection burgers" that are very particular burgers with diffrent ingredients each one like in one there is speck, in another one there is an avocado sauce and in another there is the asiago cheese
-now there are even the spicy mcnuggets with their spicy sauce
-there are wrap versions of almost every burger
-in italy we seeve alchool in mcdonalds
-there are fries with cheese and bacon
