Two things: panzerotti (plural for panzerotto) are a typical dish from southern Italy, especially in the Puglia region. They resemble calzone, are usually bigger than the ones you ate and sold mostly as a street food.
Ganduja is a blend of chocolate and hazelnut paste invented in Torino and it's the "ancestor" of Nutella.

I think it's funny 'cause in school we talked about how, even when we purposefully travel to different places, we somehow always end up looking for things that are familiar to us and I feel like this is the perfect example. Like, you made so many completely new, amazing, unique experiences, but seeing a familiar thing like McDonalds, something you already know, is just really comforting somehow. Love it
I've always resisted it when I traveled, but now I'd consider looking to see what they have that's different
Lol so true 😅❤

“That’s disgusting! Josh, what’s wrong with you? I’m actually livid”
Haha! Ollie getting upset that Josh preferred the wrap over the premium burger was just hilarious 😂
And I’m sensing a recurring theme with the mini things in this Italy series, mini coffee, mini cheese 😂😂
Coffee isn't mini in Italy, it's just a normal coffee even in a small cup (it isn't a Starbucks paper cup because it is super concentrated and not diluted with a lot of water, an Italian dose of 50ml is equivalent to 1 American liter coffee)
I didn't expect to see that iconic McDonalds in the center of Ferrara in a food vlog XD
I'm italian and I'm so glad you liked our Mc's :D but you should definitely try the Crispy McBacon. It's an italian only recipe, based on the recipe of an old italian fast food named Burghy, absorbed by McDonald's in 1996 when they first came to Italy
And they missed the chance to call it Burghy Burger or Hamburghy or McBurghy?

You make my days thank you
you should've gotten the Crispy McBacon, it's an italian exclusive and it's one of my favourite items which i always get whenever i go to McD
My favorite McDonald's item ever is the Malaysian limited-time Prosperity Burger. It's got an oblong patty like a McRib (except you only get to choose between beef or chicken; you can't get a McRib because that's pork and McDonald's outlets in Malaysia are halal-certified), but it's coated in black pepper sauce and stuffed in a sesame-topped bun with raw onion slices. Come to think of it, it's the McDonald's version of black pepper beef stir-fry (which is one of my favorite Chinese dishes), which is probably why I love it so much. The meal combo comes with orange soda and curly fries. It's only sold between December and February to coincide with the Chinese New Year season, so if you can't make it then, it's kinda disappointing because the regular Malaysia-exclusive menu items are Bubur Ayam McD, which is a subpar chicken porridge/chicken congee, and Nasi Lemak McD, which is a subpar nasi lemak.
This is the equivalent of me (Italian) going to France to only eat McDonald's
Your reaction to the crema al caffè is insane lmaooo, and i actually love the MCtoast it's so addicting, but they're pretty hit or miss

You guys inspired me. On my recent visits to London and Paris I made stops at McDonalds to try the unique menu items. Smarties McFlurry was delish!
In true Jolly channel spirit, I'm glad the series ended in such a way where it's just a sit down laugh.
A friend and myself went on holiday to Italy in 2018 and we were impressed with the desserts that McD's in Rome had because they were so much better than the UK ones and we've both got a really sweet tooth. I mean, they had a full *display counter* of different desserts. It was *ACE*! We were also spoilt for choice. Usually, with UK McDonalds I stick with their apple pies, even though they're not really pies, but IIRC, they weren't on the menu in Rome. Also, the Nutella croissants do seem to be A Thing, not just of McDonalds, but of other cafes and places to eat. We spent a couple of nights in Naples and the place we stayed at had an agreement with a local cafe for breakfast vouchers for people staying with them. We both had a Nutella croissant and, no word of a lie, if you thought your McD's croissant had a lot of Nutella in, you need to go to Naples. They honest to goodness must have put about half a big jar in each croissant and it was oozing everywhere - they weren't tight with it at all!
You HAD to do this. Great tour, very entertaining.
