My 2023 ST Evo Pro is at the Specialized shop being built up.
Since I'm a 230 pound rider they are installing CushCore. I've got my order in for Invis so I can wrap it before I trash it!
    Can't wait!
Thanks for the video. Helps me know what to expect.

Very exciting! Enjoy the new ride - they’re awesome bikes!

Nice method if you're in a pinch. I now keep a bungee cord in my tool kit I travel with after watching your first headset video. I was just at Trestle bike park and slackened out the bike to 63.5. In my opinion, it made a significant difference, especially in the steeper sections.

Hey Parker, thanks for checking out the videos. How do you like Trestle? I noticed the same when i slackened out the bike - happier going down the steeper tech. I didn’t drop the BB yet but plan to do so when my cracked ribs heal up (my fault, not the bikes….). I’ll be throwing a bungee into my travel tool kit!

@@dizidoesdownhill Trestle is a dream. Lots of flow and jumps with some mix of tech and hand built trails. I do want to check out Killington one of these days. I still have dropped the BB yet either but will next time I'm at the park. Hope you heal up quickly!

Great to know I can add that to the list of places to ride! The rib is slowly getting less annoying…thanks!

I would only do it like that if i had no option! I have a Stumpjumper evo and whenever i want to change the headset angle i do it at home

Thanks for checking out the video. I’d much rather do it with the help of a bike stand but for this video wanted to see if I could do it at a trail head to see if it was readily doable. I think if you’ve done it a few times, it won’t be much of a bother.

ciao , Bel video, io di solito faccio questa operazione a casa il giorno prima dell'uscita.
devo dire che una volta aperto l'angolo non l'ho più spostato e corro sempre con i 63°....

Hey Roberto, thanks for the comment. I will do some testing at different head tube angles and see if the slack setting is good enough for regular trail riding. It certainly seems to help with the steeper downhill sections.

I need to get a bungee cord.

Hey Kenny, i have swapped the cups a handful of times and i definitely find it helpful. It’s not totally necessary if you’re more dexterous than me but I’ll take all the help I can get! Thanks for checking out the video.

@@dizidoesdownhill I changed it one time. No it’s not difficult but I def dropped some pieces before due to trying to stabilize the bike and it’s not fun. I saw that tip from one of your previous videos and keep forgetting to go get one. How’d it do at the park?

    • @dizidoesdownhill
      @dizidoesdownhill  Před rokem +1

The extra help from the bungee makes it pretty straight forward. I had a great time at the bike park after i swapped out the cups. Definitely felt more stable on the steeper stuff. I was hoping to flip the chip this week but i clipped the edge of a berm with my back tire and it dumped me onto my ribs….it’ll be a few weeks until i can test out the lower BB bracket height….

Thanks Kenny! It’s been 8 days and is starting to feel easier. Am hoping to get a couple of easy laps in before we leave Killington on Friday. Fingers xd.
