      Hey Jeff, thanks for checking out the video - glad it was helpful! I haven’t seen an Evo on your channel - are you testing one out? If so, it’ll be entertaining to see what you can do with one! Have fun.

      Thanks for the very kind feedback. I couldn’t find any videos either when I researched how to change the head angle but after reading the manual it looked pretty straight forward. We had a few bumps along the way but once you figure it out it’s a pretty quick exercise. Thanks for checking out the video!

      Awesome - I’m sure you’ll love the bike! Out of interest, how tall are you? Having seen my daughter on her Evo Comp Alloy, I’m seriously considering getting an Evo for me personally - I’m 6’4” and am thinking the S5 might fit me well.

    • @sebastianbustos6614
      @sebastianbustos6614 Před 2 lety +1

      @@dizidoesdownhill I’m 5’11” and the S4 feels perfect. For your height, I think maybe the S6 would be a better fit. I think that 6’4” is the max recommended height for the S5.

      Thanks for the insight Sebastian. I went and rode the S5 and it fit me well. I'm sure the S6 would have worked fine too but the S5 felt good! Thanks again.

    All I did was leave the wheels on the ground and wedge the front wheel between my tool cart and my work bench. Took about five minutes to complete.

    Thanks, I found this really useful. Just got my stumpjumper and I immediately made the same change. Small problem though, I’ve somehow ended up with a spacer spare 😅… the manual doesn’t seem to clearly depict each item and what order..

    • @dizidoesdownhill
      @dizidoesdownhill  Před 10 měsíci

      Glad it was helpful! I dont think it really matters the order the spacers go onto the stem as long as the top one protrudes a few mm above the stem to allow proper pretensioning using the stem cap. Thanks for checking out the video!

    what was your torque spec on the stem? thank you for posting this, super helpful! I tried looking for a how to video by specialized but didn't find anything

    • @dizidoesdownhill
      @dizidoesdownhill  Před 2 lety

      Hey FP, we really appreciate the feedback! The torque setting on the stem bolts is 8Nm. The bolt on the top cap is tightened until the spacers stop rotating which is approx 3Nm

      Hey Brian, I really appreciate your kind comments about the video. Obviously you are not able to the other 270 degrees of the field of view which would tell a very different story! I am a conflicted person, as I generally dislike a mess but am too slack to do anything about it…! Thanks again.

    • @dizidoesdownhill
      @dizidoesdownhill  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey Jonas, we set Mili's bike up with the -1º etching to the front of the bike. This makes it slacker and more downhill oriented. Thanks for checking out the video!

    • @dizidoesdownhill
      @dizidoesdownhill  Před rokem +1

      Hey Willy. Thanks for checking out the video. The regular StumpJumper doesnt have a variable head angle and i would guess the head tube is not manufactured to accept the cups from the Evo. I could be wrong though I haven’t seen anyone trying this on a regular SJ.
