With fire damage being more impressive than ever now that more weapons with native fire damage have become viable due to the recent patch, I believe now is a better time than ever to be confident in experimenting with weapon selection in high-level play. Keep an eye out for wild card weapon choices in tournaments post-1.10, I can see the St. Trina’s Torch winning a few professional matches
It’s crazy but I have been destroying people with a flame art knight’s twinblade in invasions. Yeah, I’m using flaming strike which is more powerful than ever, but just the fact that twinblades feel good to use and are reasonably effective shows how far the game has come. All that said, I’m no tournament player, just an invader who does his share of duels.
why fire dmg is more impressive than ever? they buffed fire dmg in this patch? the patch notes of 1.10 don´t say nothing about that, i´m not sure , maybe the buffed the flaming strike weapon art?
@@murphieslaw6932 the melee bloodthorn sorcery can actually be really strong, I think multiple casts in a row can combo now. Flails, and hammers, are definitely viable now, thanks to the hyperarmor, though they are definitely not top tier.

Fun weapon fact, if you use the assassin aow with the concieling sorcery for invis, you can use st. Trinas torch to sleep all kinds of animals and enemies in elden ring by using the ash of war since it does no damage and no stagger, just status. the birds are adorable. So please, if not a torch pvp video, maybe a sleeping animals and enemies video?
Blade of Calling is always such a cool weapon that just falls short of being actually good. Wish they'd give it something to make it stand out vs the Black Knife. Like higher crit damage or something would be nice. I tend to rock it purely for fashion souls on a faith build unless I plan to use black flame stuff.
bro i've been binging all your content. you make me want to get into pvp. it seems like you use a lot of the lesser known ashes and things like that to really gain the situational advantages and that seems like it adds a lot of variety to the weapon types and gameplay.

I actually just started using the Shamshir! Ive avoided Dex builds like thr plague since DS1 (for no specific reason), and just learned about Curved Swords 6 hit moveset which is arguably so much more fun that Straight Swords (my usual go to). Shamshir is early game and has a cooler looking chain.
I'd love for you to try Poison Moth Flight, the ash of war you get from the Night's Cavalry in Caelid. With the low health of so many hosts and the poise changes I feel you can do some fun stuff with it
It's a really cool ash of war, at least conceptually. Landing it once poisons the target. Landing it again (or just once on a poisoned target) removes the poison and deals a lot of damage. I really like the idea
Little tip for you Chase! When invading the catacombs with pillars, you can activate them with Morgott or Mohgs shackle, you can use that thing from a great distance away
Single erdsteel dagger with faith buffs and sacred blade is a pretty nasty little invasion weapon honestly. It’s got ar comparable to a fuckin’ greatsword if you build it right and it staggers most players when two handed now.
