So cool!
Nice video! I work at a fish store and we have one of these guys in one of our planted display tanks, and we got a shipment of them in for sale a few weeks ago. I personally won't be buying one myself anytime soon, mainly bc our tap water is extremely hard, but I absolutely love them
just get a ro unit
They look pretty cool.

Hello mate love the videos, any tips on breeding these fish?
What’s the best and safest way to soften the water that you recommend? Our water is hard here
I’m trying to look for leopard frog plecos after having a lot of trouble keeping L144a plecos
I ordered a male and female at 3 inches give or take wanted to start them in a 10 gallon til I get them full grown is that fine Or too small for just them two ?
Could you keep two or three of these in a 20gal as adults?
what fish did you say to put in the tank with them?
does the same go for the L140?
Is a 2ft tank big enough?
cool
You think 81 degrees is good enough? Or higher or lower ?
What does everyone feed theirs?
imo caves are essential to any pleco specific setup. These guys look awesome!
On a completely separate note, I once made the mistake of putting plecos in a dirted planted tank. It had many caves, but they insisted on making a few of their own, disrupting the substrate and uprooting the plants. Walstad and plecos 0/5 stars, I don’t recommend it
I agree, rip walstad tank
Hi would you recommend plecos for a carpeted plant aquarium?
No I wouldn’t
Hi, i just bought a pleco that seems to be either L398 or L397. I found it difficult to identify what it eats. It seems to be refusing any food im giving to eat. Do you know that kind of pleco's diet?
They eat zuchinni
Zucchini i mean
It seems to eat hard veggies and really eat wood :)
what is the average cost for the L134s? I know it varies but just curious.
Around 80-100 for 3-4cms
If you find some from a fish group swap for instance, you get them for around $100 and less. I know a gumtree seller that sells them for $60. But in fish stores or online, they are like $100 - $150
@@lachlanisaac do you mind asking, which seller, I’m after some l134s
Markuzzi they’re gumtree user name is fine aquatics. They are in the inner Sydney region. They have just sold all of there’s but if you ask and be really nice they would put you on like a waiting list and they could give you a discount. I know my friend got 6 for $60 each, but the prices are very flexible. They sell nice stuff. Good luck😁
@@lachlanisaac Oh, I know him, but I’ve already preordered some for 70 each
What are they selling for at the LFS?
$70-$90
How much is your TDS?
Very low
@@KeepingFishSimple like 150? Or lower?
Picked up 3 today in Texas. Do not know the sex yet.
i actually have lepard pleco
They are not named after Leopards...they are named after the Leopard FROG of North America.
