- Gabe is an autistic and nonverbal teen who has recently made a friend! They have been spending every weekend together and FaceTime during the week! Gabe has even been sharing with me how much he loves having her as a friend! He says “Having a friend fills my heart with fine love”

I love seeing Gabe's affectionate side, and boy does he really let it show here.
Can I just say that as an autistic adult, it makes me so happy to see Gabe find such a deep connection with another person? There’s such a strong understanding between the two of them, and it just makes me smile to see it. I struggle with connecting to and communicating with others, especially new people, and recently found my special person last year, and I love to see others like me find that type of person. I just feel like Gabe is going to have his own language with her! It’s so sweet to see them hug and Gabe cupped her face with his hand so gently, it’s just precious to see! I am so happy he has found someone who feels his energy and gives her own energy, its amazing!

Oh My GOSH! Why am I blushing?!!! This was toooo cute!!! I love how Gabe's natural masculine instincts kicked in and he gave her a protective like embrace and also the affectionate hand cuff to her left cheek, the intense cheek to cheek rub, the strong grasp of their hands! It shows that he's established an strong emotional connection to her. And also her to him. She resonates with him a lot! They should def continue to stay great friends as I think they bring great balance to one another!

I work in a self-contained autism support classroom for 12 to 14-year-olds, and this actually brought tears to my eyes. I hope my kids can find someone that makes them this happy!

As his mother, with how much nurturing and teaching and guidance and may I say WORK goes into bringing up an autistic child (my cousin is autistic and we saw what my aunt and uncle have done for Andrew for the last 37 years) seeing this must literally swell your heart 10 times the size.
I've always said and this goes for my sister too whose a carer, that despite them having cognitive impairment or genetic differences, their capacity for affection, kindness, closeness and love is in a league of its own. No preconditions, no stipulations, no standards, just immediate connection and they allow the feelings to take the lead. They way they both nestled into eachother is beautiful whilst holding hands and wanting to go back again and again.
These two will soon be inseparable and will not want to be apart. Just lovely. Well done mums. ❤

It always catches me by surprise for some reason just how deeply affectionate Gabe can be without outwardly saying/emoting it. It just means it matters more, and is so much more authentic. Of all the challenges we over came finding a loving friendship with a young lady is the hardest thing. All I can do is keep praying for her to somehow show up on our scene.

This is the most beautiful, precious, sweet thing I have EVER seen in my LIFE! Please, please don’t ever separate them! Gabe was so happy to be with Arielle, he was spinning around dancing! I know that you can’t stop Arielle’s parents from sending her to boarding school, & I’m sure they have her best interests at heart, but this is going to be very difficult for Gabe. Thank goodness he has the love & care of the 2 best moms ever!❤️💗💖💜🌟
