Glad to see I'm not the only one snapping my fingers while thinking about something at work! 😁

@@Shiftinglands No, seriously; why are we actually doing this? Sometimes I even go so far as to talk to myself.... as if I wanted to answer myself afterwards! 😁 Apparently it must be some kind of craftsman's disease. I turn it off as best I can when I'm on site or with customers, but in the workshop.... or at home? Nope! 😂

There are not many 1 hour long CZcams videos I will watch. However, I will watch your build videos. Great job! You asked for a challenge. How about something different? A Southwest Adobe style train station with the big arches all around and the dome on the roof in the middle. That will get you out of middle earth for one build.

Another stunning build! I wanted to take a moment and tell you how much I appreciate your shingles, it is really helpful to have shingles available that actually look like they are the proper scale. Given the prominence of shingles on any build it is one of the first things that I see and it just sets the mood when the scale matches up across the entire build. :)

Hi Gerard, it's always good to see work like this to show how adjustments are needed to get to the picture you have in mind. Just on a side note the links to your shop in the description aren't working and neither are the ones at the shop if you get there via google.

I get mine from a big company named Weston in Soesterberg Netherlands. Need to buy full packages with sheets though.

XPS foam is used in almost every modern building. I get mine from dumpsters at construction sites. I get permission from the builder and they almost always say yes. Then you have a lifetime supply for free. It’s important to make sure you remove any vapor barrier and also cut off the outer skin of commercial foam. Once you shave off the first mm or so, you have excellent hobby foam for free and it’s recycling at its best!
