My favorite book to read about forgiveness is the Bible. Jesus is our best example of forgiving others and he was the strongest Heyoka empath to ever live because He was connected directly to the source, The One True God and Creator of the universe that created our very being and knows everything about us even numbers the hairs on our head and gives us a purpose! The more I learn about Jesus’ heart, the more powerful my gifts are. Thanks for the reminder and the encouragement! From your fellow empath that was abused by my narcissistic ex husband. We will rise out of the ashes for “He comforts us so that we can comfort others”. We are all in this together!☺️💖☀️

Great video about understand yourself and journaling. Excellent suggestions.
One point of question/consideration/constructive criticism ...
Forgiveness is a great tool, but it cannot be given lightly to people. Learning to accept a situation is one thing, but forgiving people that repeatedly wrong us is a sign of a bad boundary. Giving forgiveness to people that treat us poorly gives them the impression that they can continue to treat us poorly.
    ... just my opinion.

Five family suicides (Grandfather, Mother, Uncle, and two Cousin's) traumatic childhood plus Narsistic parents, Ugh. It's exhausting to think about. Journaling and I are not good friends. I end up being self critical and embarrassed over things I've wrote or did. I don't understand why I do this or think this way when I try to journal, but I do. I don't blow up at others. I either hold it in or push it away. I have no problem being assertive, but I've gotten in a habit of thinking it's not worth saying anything or addressing how I feel when no one is going to listen or understand anyways. Those close to me seek guidence with something they're about to do. I give detailed information to them on what will happen if they choose a certian path when I'm asked, but they never follow the advice given. That doesn't bother me. It's their life, not mine. It's when they keep asking and I share what I feel and see again, and the advice is ignored. I'm to busy consciously and subconsciously being pulled in the direction of helping others than helping myself. I've isolated myself in my home for the past seven months now. I actually can't remember the last time I was in public now that I'm writing this. I actually can't remember. I lay on my bed listening to music more than eight hours a day. I know I'm an empath, and I'm now trying to find away to be a healthy functioning empath. I felt so lost and found your channel. I feel validated, but have no idea how to take the next step. It's frustrating and confusing. I feel it's a blessing and a curse. If you have any idea's on how I can journal and not repeat my self criticism I'm all for it. I don't mind a different point of view especially if it can help me understand why I do this. If not, Thank you for helping me to understand that I'm not crazy and that being an empath is real. I can't tell you how many times another individual has called me evil because of my abilities.

Like explaining its value to others is practicly impossible but you FEEL the impact of this simple little nothing experience? After last night I blew up on her multiple times I knew it was time to do something about it. I had her express her emotions and that's when I knew I was the problem without her saying it. I'm so grateful I found this. I really know this is something that's going to help me in my relationship and further on. Thank you

This is so helpful! I've been journaling for decades, and it's true that your mind will reveal to you the answers to your questions BUT you have to be willing - and courageous - to face the "dark stuff" in your own mind. It is only by bringing it into your present conscious awareness that you can be healed. You may have to re-live some awful moments, but if it is done with the present adult identity (see his other videos to know your identity), then you can look at it clinically and finally resolve it, so that you're no longer triggered. Your conscious mind can say, "Aha! I recognize that this situation COULD trigger me, but I CHOOSE to not let it, since the hurt is from the past." It does take a lot of work! But, if you do it right, you only have to re-live the hurt once.
And, yes - forgiveness! SO important! Another person on CZcams once commented, "You're not truly an adult until you've forgiven your parents." Forgiveness doesn't mean you're saying it's "okay". Forgiveness means (for me) you hand the @$%* back to the person and say (in essence): "THIS is YOURS!" It also means you view the person as another human being, and that perhaps someone else wounded them, and they passed it on to you. It is useful to say to oneself, "The buck stops here! I will not continue acting out this violence/hurt against others." It is also useful to remember that we're all mortal. How much of your life to you want to waste on garbage from the past?

    He says it so well!
Another thing I learned is be careful about misclassifying your response as a reaction. And don't pay attention to people who misclassify your actions, too. For example, someone was being taken advantage of, and you defended the victim calmly. There is no remorse. Later, you appear out of control, but actually you were intentional. You can sense and understand why they wanted to do the things they do, yet you are sensitive about the conversations not spoken. They knew better than that! Hahaha. You all know there was nothing to forgive, because everyone was right in their own eyes, and you're sensitive to human behavior. It is what it is. Point taken. You've written everything you did right in your journal.
When you stick up for someone, or you're a leader passionate about a cause in your speech, or someone is about to get hit by a car, the astute know there's no malice, and you don't need to explain yourself.
It's a teaching moment for all listeners, and you sleep well at night. #noShame

I have a question: I know there are some situations where we ourselves are the problem, but what about situations where someone close to you is acting in a inappropriate/ hurtful way and you have a bad reaction to it because it was really hurtful. Is the person acting hurtful the problem, are you the problem or are both parties the problem? If it’s the latter two choices, doesn’t it make sense that the person being mistreated is upset and has a reaction to it? (I’m not talking about anything super drastic on the part of the person who feels hurt: Just things like raised voice, upset body language, leaving conversation in a somewhat rushed manner, ect)

In my view ' forgiveness' is a obsolete infected word. It activates shame and blame in you, in which you have no part of, as a young open-minded child. We are all fooled and bothered with our "forgiveness" .. and even to turn our other cheek if you're allready abused!? The fear of not receiving love anymore, when you don't tolerate suffering is really absurd! We've learned that we all are sinners as young childeren, but why?? This doesn't worked all with me! I accept my fate, but I'm under no obligation to forgive anyone who ever contributed to only my decline!! Learning to accept people to do this to you, is already quite a task to accept...pf.. Forgiveness is in most cases pure biblical nonsense! When someone slaps me I won't give my other cheek, knowing that my whole body will be devoured. No more playing with me at my expense as empath..

Wrong! We receive what we believe ALWAYS! We attract to us anything and everything that we believe to be true.
We attract, no one is doing anything to you, we are simply drawn towards people and situations that reflect back to us what we FEEL is true for us.
Being honest with yourself, being honest with what and how you TRULY FEEL INSIDE about yourself and your life will help you to understand why you keep feeling bad, sad, angry, empty, unlovable or unloved etc.
We own everything that happens “to” us, because we are attracting it.
Everything and everyone else is simply a reflection of what we believe about ourselves.
And, it’s not coming from our minds, it’s coming from our heart and our soul.
Feel positive and positive things will begin to come to you.
