Thank you & thanks for watching 😊⚡️
Since you guys make chargers: Are there any technical limits to enabling simple plug&charge? I'm assuming that the car shares some kind of id during the initial handshake. I'm assuming every charging operator then uses your api to build their own charging app. And I would assume you could surface this id to them and they could build functionality to pair that car id to your payment method and allow you to start a charging session automatically. Why isn't this more common? Is there any open standard in the works to make this a reality in the future?
Hi Anze, thanks for your comment! As far as plug and charge goes, the EV itself, the hardware, and the software all need to support it in order for it to work. Some EVs currently have plug & charge capabilities. Plug and Charge is covered in the ISO-15118 standard.
Hope this helps! ⚡️
Will this come to USA?
Hi there! Yes, we currently have Kempower chargers at a public site in Albert Lea, Minnesota with ZEF Energy. More Kempower chargers in USA to come 🇺🇸
Free coffee at the local diner
Haha however this coffee wasn't free 😊
@ullan pakari they charge 0.63€/kWh. Maybe a energy company should sell cheaper to excellerate adoption.... So disappointing. ABC-lataus for the win!
Thanks for your comment! 😊
