  • Camtasia is perfect for screencasts, recording your screen, and sharing it on websites like CZcams. Did you know you can also add interactive quizzes and track video completion and quiz data on Learning Management System (LMS)?
I will walk you through how first to add quiz questions throughout your project in this video. Once the video reaches a certain point, a question option will appear. The learner selects to take the quiz, and the question shows up. Once the question is completed, you can either show them feedback or jump them back to the point of the video they missed.
Once you are done adding the questions throughout your video, you can then publish it to SCORM and have it tracked on any LMS without adding the video to Storyline or Captivate.

We have been trying to get a 3rd party to help us get our onboarding program up and running for months now. Thanks to your video, I just put my own POC together and tested end to end using SCORM Cloud free account... and within 2 hours, I have been able to do what the 3rd party couldn't and they have had months!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU

Oh so glad this helped! Yeah it's kind of a hidden feature in Camtasia.

Great example, straight forward and to the point. Found this more beneficial than TechSmith's own tutorial

Thank you for this video. How does the program use the SCORM settings "Passing Score" and "View percentage required," and what is the reporting? Also, if a quiz question is answered incorrectly, and the student "Jumps to Time," the quiz question disappears. Can I set the question to be asked again until answered correctly?

Passing score will determine if they get a full completion in the LMS. So you could set up the LMS to allow retake until pass but that is mostly done on the LMS side. Camtasia though will not give a completion until they they pass and view the correct amount of video. Yeah not sure about that for the question. I think the feature is set up to remove the question after jump to time. So I assume no it does not repeat the question. Might be a feature request though you can pass onto TechSmith the makers of Camtasia.

Hi, we have added a video + quiz using Camtasia and SCORM into Workday and are having an issue with it not reporting the score of the user to the user or to us on the backend reporting. Any idea why that might be?

Hmm, not off the top of my head. I have never used Workday. You may want to try to sign up for a free account on cloud.scorm.com a test LMS. If it works there than you know it is an issue with out Workday is reporting SCORM.

Can it be opened after the video has been uploaded on CZcams Quis Camtasia on a mobile phone?

    • @LearningDojo

So the quizzes don’t function if you upload the video to CZcams since CZcams uses their own player. You’d have to use the Camtasia player and host it yourself if or on an LMS if you want to use the Camtasia quiz.

Can you add multiple attempts to a quiz in Camtassia? Please confirm.

I am looking through the settings and do not see anything. Maybe inserting into Storyline and doing their quiz settings might be a better option.
