I can't emphasize enough on how much I love my pixel 8 pro. At the big blue and I came from the seven pro. I never look back on the Galaxy phones or the OnePlus that I used to use also.
except the video camera zoom in, this phone has the best animations in any android phone so far which is funny considering previous pixels were not 🤣all jokes aside this google has stepped up this time around, i just hope they continue this trend if they don't want to get smashed by competition completely.@@coonjamalay

I've just come from iPhone 14 pro max and initially went s23 ultra but soo glad i sent it back for the pixel love everything and they keyboard clicks have to be heard to believe its like 3d sound I not been this impressed for years
I have a 8 and today I got 6 hrs battery time with 20 percent left didn't charge since Monday it's Tuesday. It has micro stutters on certain apps like Reddit but Instagram Twitter Facebook Tiktok very optimized. Love the material one theme in chrome browser and certain apps. This chip isn't for gamers if you take pics and do casual socials and media you'll be ok.
@@levipb1403 These big tech companies don't even use the chips to it's full potential they throttle the chips for efficiency so we can get better battery life.
Can I ask were you on Wi-Fi the whole time or on data or a mixture of both are more than one and the other cuz I have the p8 and I'm on data all the time at my job because I'm out and around and I don't get anywhere near that battery life
@@jejunamja both. Worked for 8 hrs... So those hours during my day was all data. Don't know how much I used the phone at work but mostly likely light usage but at home on WiFi I'm a heavy user games CZcams scrolling movies sports...

For anyone wondering if an app can enhance your vision, it can't lol but other than that great video my guy! I love my 8 pro!! Much better than my 6 pro. Much needed upgrade.
Lower charging Speed also means protecting the battery which is a good thing if you want to use the pixel ad for a few years. For me, I'm going to plan to use it at least 3 years before buying a new phone
I wish Google would revert back to the shape that the pixel 4/4xl had, it was the best sized phone they’ve built IMO. The camera bump was also really nice with a glossy camera cover.
Dope video! A lot of people seems to miss the options button in the lower right of the camera for access to all the options such as night sight, brightness, shadow, white balance, focus, shutter speed, and ISO!

So I've owned the pixel 3a XL, the pixel 5, the pixel 6a, the pixel 7, and now the pixel 8 pro. I have always enjoyed my pixel phones. The pixel 8 pro has been the best android experience I've had to date. I've owned the Samsung galaxy phones, the motorola phones, and a couple of lg and htc phones. People down Google for the "slow" chips and processors, but the user experience on Pixel phones is far better than a samsung phone. With all the raw power of samsung phones the user experience and the software sucks. Also I watch a lot of tech reviewers and I can appreciate their opinions sometimes, but it does seem like some of them are out of touch with regular people at times. Too tech nerdy for their own good. Zach is one of the sensible ones though.

I actually bought the phone for the laser thermometer. I know it isn't super accurate, but I don't need it to be exact. I mix thermoreactive chemicals everyday, and also need to be able to get an idea of the relative temperature of certain substrates. I think it's going to be great. I'm upgrading from a pixel 6 pro. I always give my brother my old phone because he would never buy anything new, edgewise.
I like Pixel after using a Htc desire HD and a samsung which had the removable back. which i rooted both with a custom rom and loved it since then rooting is getting hader and less custom roms with newer mobiles then i decided a pixel 5 when it released and still loving pixel after a pixel 8 pro upgrade

Will you be looking at OnePlus 12? Deciding between them. I have Pixel 7 Pro in warranty repair, and they will probably give me my money back, so thinking about the next one. I was not very keen on AI features (most of them still use servers, so loading spinner is the best friend) and some of them are not available in my country. And with Pixel 7 Pro I noticed some glitches when swiping down for notification, scrolling etc. What do you think? I'm leaning more towards OnePlus with Snapdragon. I don't care that much about Camera as on trips I take physical camera with me anyways. I also looked at Sony Xperia 1 VI but the price there is ridiculous!
The Huawei P40 series and above all have 3d face unlock and those came out 3 yrs ago. Till this day, still the only Android phones with 3d face biometric authentication. Google still uses 2D, except the Pixel 4.
I'll be honest, if they made an AOSP version of this phone with Gapps I would buy it, I'm just not a fan of Google's UI overlay. I wouldn't even mind a version that presented us with options during setup on what UI experience we would like....Google or Nexus or AOSP.
I upgraded to the 8 pro from a xiaomi mi 11. Everything about the 8 pro is better except for the form factor an feel in hand in my opinion. The mi 11 is slimmer and feels more compact and solid. I also wish the 8 pro had a bit slimmer bezels. They are probably as slim as the Mi 11, but the curved edges there made them seem even slimmer (albeit very uneven). If it was more in line with the iphone 15 pro max it would be basically the perfect phone by todays standards in my opinion!
S21 ultra built like a tank! That phone I discarded and went for S23 ultra as it developed a green line in the middle of the display and there were huge gap in the side as back was raised due to some unknown reason and service center said it has ip 68 no more😢😢😢😢
I love how the pixel feels, looks and behaves. One thing that I'm annoyed with tho. As I'm in a country that the Pixel is not "Officially" sold, but from Amazon and others, I can't use 5G, VoLTE and VoWiFi.
This is my first pixel. I usually purchase Samsung phones but I wanted to try a pure android phone. I did not want the apps that I did not need. So far I like the phone.
Does your speaker loudness drop by half when opening games? I encountered this weird disparity between video loudness and game loudness without adjusting anything. Not sure why specifically games. And I have 4 of them..might be an Android 14 thing
@@karmassecret I could, but I'm not satisfied that the phone is actually worth what they're asking which is the main reason for excluding it. I don't take many photos and I'm generally an extremely light user compared to most, so it's difficult to justify that price for me personally 🙂
For battery life how much time was spent on mobile data vs wifi? That makes a huge difference. I think battery life when mostly or completely on wifi is totally meaningless.
I love Pixels because of the custom ROM community...Google makes it easier because they allow you to relock it without any consequences...Sadly the competition from other OEMs makes it hard pick. Personally i blame the Tensor chip...and Samsung.
I just can't survive with a phone taking one and a half hours to charge fully. Coming from oneplus 8 Pro that takes around 50 minutes I can't even imagine upgrading and yet having to spend more time charging my phone every day and when I'm on the move.
I love oneplus and galaxy. I don't like pixel 8's rounded corners and the omnipresent Google search bar on the home screen otherwise pixel 8 Pro looks fantastic. I waiting for oneplus 12 and intend to buy that.
My current device, a Note20 Ultra, will probably lose security update support in 2025; just in time to scoop up a Pixel 10 Pro. Few questions: - How does the front glass feel? Any hollow sound to it when you tap it. My wife's 7 Pro feels hollow. Kinda like how the cheaper iPads feel, as opposed to the more expensive iPads with laminated glass. - How is the speaker quality during calls when on speaker phone? My 4XL used to do this weird thing where sound cuts off intermittently, and the person I'm calling can't hear me. I exchanged the 4XL multiple times but the issue still persist. 🥔
Ok to be a fan of a brand. But need to call them out for a lot of things. Their modem still is bad . Phone doesn't work if connection is bad. That's been a problem with the pixel lineup. Then battery life and charging speed. Processor speed and benchmark isn't indicative of every day performance. But charging 1000 for it ? This to me is no more than 800 phone just because it is new. I tried to make the pixel as my main phone but all the bugs, drop connection and battery life force me to keep going back to my Samsung.
Regarding battery charging speeds. Are the big 3 (Google, Samsung, Apple) afraid batteries will blow up or something or are they just not ready to release those type of charging speeds to the masses?
Love my Pixel 8 pro, but, does anyone else get the partial colour distortion on the lock screen text ? mine seems to be at the top left side and the white text is partially yellowy/orange coloured. Doesn't affect the phone in any way, just a bit annoying.

Ultra HDR pictures are a game changer with this phone! The camera is a pretty big jump up from the 6 Pro, which was also a great shooter.
iPhones have had that for YEARS ! It's good that Google us catching up

My current device, a Note20 Ultra, will probably lose security update support in 2025; just in time to scoop up a Pixel 10 Pro. Few questions:
- How does the front glass feel? Any hollow sound to it when you tap it. My wife's 7 Pro feels hollow. Kinda like how the cheaper iPads feel, as opposed to the more expensive iPads with laminated glass.
- How is the speaker quality during calls when on speaker phone? My 4XL used to do this weird thing where sound cuts off intermittently, and the person I'm calling can't hear me. I exchanged the 4XL multiple times but the issue still persist. 🥔

Ok to be a fan of a brand. But need to call them out for a lot of things. Their modem still is bad . Phone doesn't work if connection is bad. That's been a problem with the pixel lineup. Then battery life and charging speed. Processor speed and benchmark isn't indicative of every day performance. But charging 1000 for it ? This to me is no more than 800 phone just because it is new. I tried to make the pixel as my main phone but all the bugs, drop connection and battery life force me to keep going back to my Samsung.
Are those the default icons?
Regarding battery charging speeds. Are the big 3 (Google, Samsung, Apple) afraid batteries will blow up or something or are they just not ready to release those type of charging speeds to the masses?
Samsung's just fine. S23 Ultra charges from 10% to 100% in 55 mins - 1 hr
@@darcastromero It's fine for most people.... it seems some still want the charging speeds that Xiaomi & Huawei phones produce

I still hate the fact that Pixel 8 Pro in 2023 still does not support Casting/Mirror Cast to Non Google devices such as FireStick or Roku.

Tensor G3 sucks.. Poor in battery efficiency, sucks in gaming, heats up a lot in hot climates, network connectivity issues

Love my Pixel 8 pro, but, does anyone else get the partial colour distortion on the lock screen text ? mine seems to be at the top left side and the white text is partially yellowy/orange coloured. Doesn't affect the phone in any way, just a bit annoying.
Are you talking about the lock screen or the always on display?

@@Sorran I don't have that issue but apparently other people do. Maybe you should look into it to see if there's a fix. If not, you might want to claim a warranty.
