That female vocal has always given me goosebumps! This is yet another OG hip hop pioneer with that classic NY sound. There's nothing like 80-90's NY style hip hop for me. Except 90's west coast hip hop. Apples and oranges, though... they're both fruit... but just special and unique in their own way.

Changing my approach if you don't know this you should. "Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire ft. Despot, Das Racist, Danny Brown, EL-P The Last Huzzah" Just search for that in " ". I'm guessing you don't know about Despot he kills it on this track. Both Heems and Kool A.D of Das Racist are on this I think Kool A.D has the better verse but both are good. Danny Brown kills it on this as usual. Then there is El-P if you don't know you need to. To paraphrase him "he spits 16 to prove to the wold he owns it" and he does. I saw these guys live twice, once as a support act for LL Cool J & once for Public Enemy in '87. Rakim does still tour. 'FOLLOW THE LEADER' is his best known epic hit (do the lyric video as the official video distracts from the words). 'Microphone Fiend' & 'The R' are two other classic tracks.
