  • Our mock tribunal was an immersive simulation of the real thing. The session was designed with HR professionals and decision-makers in mind.
    The event allowed the audience to experience, first-hand, the hearing of evidence, cross-examination, submissions and the final decision from the 'Judge' based on a challenging scenario many businesses face.

    Useful public information. Only thing I would add is that if a claimant does win their case then there is an obligation on the tribunal to first ask not just if they want reinstatement but also re-engagement.....they are .different things. Understandably most claimants don't want to go back to somewhere where an employment relationship has broken down , but it may well be the case that the employer has other sites where the same personnel issues would not exist..

      Employees will often have already communicated via the ET1 what remedy they are seeking and more often than not, an employee is seeking compensation. However, there will be situations when an employee is seeking reinstatement or reengagement.

    ive been discriminated based on my sexuality, but I fear if I take my employer to court they will deny the comments or complaints I made and there is so physical evidence to back it up.

    I am about to start mine 👀 bullying and harassment. If I go off with stress, do I have to tell a prospective employer? I need to get out for my mental health but wasn't sure if I had to grit my teeth and do interviews in annual leave time

    I find it difficult to articulate/communicate face to face can I bring a union rep to speak on my behalf? Or a solicitor?

    • @WrighthassallCoUkLLP
      @WrighthassallCoUkLLP  Před 3 lety +1

      For an employment tribunal you can instruct anyone to represent you. It can be a union rep, friend, solicitor, barrister etc..

    What does capped mean? The women at 5:32 says that in discrimination compensation will be capped.

    • @WrighthassallCoUkLLP
      @WrighthassallCoUkLLP  Před 3 lety +3

      It is capped except in discrimination cases. In other cases, there is a maximum amount you would receive - the capped amount.

    I resigned because the manager had racist post on his facebook about my religion, he demoted me, removed me off my original job to a less simple roll. I had to leave for my mental health. Ive got the evidence of his post and witness statements of his behaviour. Have a got a claim? Was 13 months into the job
