      @ryanseeley  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks James. We use steel for putting on and for first pass. Then 2nd pass and cross trowel with the superflex 👍

  • @albyrobinsonisthebestatfoo3002

    Nice work. Do you use any of the additives like extra time or half time?

    • @ryanseeley
      @ryanseeley  Před 3 lety

      Thanks Baz. No we don't usually. I've used them both before to try out but it's not something we use often.

      Thanks 👍 I have a Ragni corner trowel. It's the best one out there In my opinion!

      Thanks! The truth is on this one we didn't have any stop beads on day 1 to bead the velux window reveals so we left it until last. Not our usual way around but just the way we had to do this one

    I'm still tryin to figure out how you manage to cover a full room the way you do. The amount you spread is phenomenal.......... any tips ?
    Keep up the good works Lads 👊🏾👳🏾‍♂️☝🏾💚

      Thanks allot man! Just keep practicing and try to be patient. Speed is the last thing to come so just focus on quality and repeat until speed develops.
      A few practical tip I can offer you are to get a slightly larger hawk and a slightly longer trowel. They worked for me. Also use extra time additive to give you some more time to get around it. We don't use it much but it could help buy you a little extra time with a bigger set.

      It does look like that at the beginning of the video but it's due to the wide angle lens. It'd bit in later shots

    Do you rate the ox stainless better than a marshalltown? My local merchants got some ox trowels in at the moment and was thinking of having getting one in the morning....

    • @ryanseeley
      @ryanseeley  Před 3 lety

      I love my Ox stainless! I have the 18 inch, it's more like a sword than a trowel but I love it! The 14 inch is great to. I don't know if they will last as long as some marshalltown trowels do but they certainly work as well.

      Got the ox “pro series” 14 inch on Thursday last week. Seems fairly decent. The handle is quite chunky and not quite sure about it yet. But I’m skimming with it already and the steel seems good to break in.
