Shorn Ferocious reminds me of a bulldog. I love to see how gentle you are with them.
Exactly what I thought! Just solid!
I was just thinking that!!!
As he carries one like a suitcase.
Those sheep definitely stand like bulldogs XD Look at how wide they are, they're bricks! I love how the first UK reaction to this kind of sheep was 'amusement', like, yeah, that one heck of a funny looking sheep, but then that amusement changed to respect at the loads of product they could get from it XD
The sheep have some "junk in the trunk" as we call it here. Cutest lil sheep butts. They are so beefy in a good way. They are the most muscular breed of aheep I have ever seen. Have a great day ,& weekend. 🫶🐑🐏🐑🐏🐑
My favourite breed, they always look so disgruntled about life 😂
Cammy you must have the softest hands in Scotland with all that beautiful lanolin in these fleeces another great video I really enjoyed it.
They look like woolly baby hippos 🥰
I love the narration and watching how carefully you hold the skin to keep it taught and wrinkle free. Those sheep have the squarest boxy faces and overall look. It's a bit on the extreme side, nevertheless they are cute. In the face, anyway. Opposite to how the Black Nosed Valais are cute 😂😮
They look like bulldogs! Great interesting job as usual Cammy.
Love this series of shearing…doing a grand job as ever..plus a bit of background info is brilliant
Hi Cammy...Just found your partner channel and I subscribed. I feel your pain with "sticky" sheep! I do my fair share of the same in my own flock. Not to be insensitive to your superior shearing skills, but it's nice to know that even a pro-shearer has his fair share of troubles with the job too! It makes me feel that I'm on the right track with my own shearing. For those who think that it's easy...just come have a go at it sometime! Thanks so much for sharing your work here on the tube! Perhaps an in-depth video on how to sharpen some blades might be a great piece to consider! Cheers from Pennsylvania, USA!
Hope to get into more detail about that soon! 💪
It would be fabulous if some fleece from each breed was saved to a collection or even enough yarn to knit or crochet a square then assemble the squares to make a blanket. Would be in a museum or sold for lots of money.🦌💌❤️🐑
Pardon my french.. But holy shit!! 😲😲😲 That is the biggest muscular sheep i have EVER seen!!! That thing is built like a damn tank!! It literally looks like a freaking American Pitbull!! Im speechless right now!!! Lol Just wooow is all i got to say!! Thanks for sharing Cammy! Cant wait for the next video!! 😊😊😊
I would love to see you shear the smallest sheep in Britain. I'm about as far from sheep farming as one can get...a grandma living in Colorado, but, I absolutely love your channel. Love those sheep! Their faces are nothing but pure charm.
Well im stunned at the size of those sheep! wow. Im an Aussie so mostly Merino's here and nothing like those Beltex units!
Absolutely love the care you show the sheep when shearing them Cami 😊
Ferocious looks a bit more like Dolly Parton. Nice narrative over the shearing.
The Texel is my wifes favorite breed and after helping her on the farm when i first meet her, i have to say I fell in love with them as well. But the best was traveling to Texel in Holland to vist them in there homeland :) She left the farm a few years back now, but i still keep promicing her that i will buy her a texel one day :)
I tried crutching today, for the first time, what a complete balls up! I need to take a course!!😢
The thumbnail brought me here. I was not disappointed.
I don't know much about sheep but I do know I've never seen this breed before - wow - they certainly are different looking!
That was an impressive lift you did with Flameproof!
Cracking video. They are some sheep
I think it’s better to watch this video u learn loads more about shearing, great video
As a spinner, I would love to see you shearing some fine wool breeds or some of the long wool breeds.
leicester longwool!
These videos are fun - well done. So nice to hear your old theme music at the end! ❤️
First class ewe and ram .we use beltex rams on our flock and have done since 1996 and have won many carcass competitions .they are real meat machines and have a great temperament.
Had an absolutely massive Suffolk that was given to me and she had a rear end like that. Difference was that it wasn't muscle. It was literally ten pounds of fat.😂
Wondering what the yellow is and why is the skin dirty up onto their back?
This breed is the bulldog of the sheep world. Holy Moly Batman 😂
Lovin' both channels.
Yellow is the lanolin, dirt is just from the shed, be out on the grass soon after this! 👍
Great video Cammy as always fine sheep too 👌
I would love to see you shear the Suffolk usually they have the dirty behinds and prone to maggot when the fly appears may you have a healthy shearing season and mind the auld back 😊
I want to see an old timer shear with those enormous scissors !
Thank you for explaining about the various sheep in UK. Yeah, agree these Beltrow are a Beyonce with those muscles!! Interesting. Never thought I would enjoy daily fixes on sheep farming between you and Sandi from Sheepishly Me.
Here in jaipur Rajasthan India,
We do not see so many different types of sheep.
Very informative.
Thanks cammy that was so interesting to watch xxx
Now THAT is a Sheep Dog!
🇨🇦 Cammy I’d like to suggest you come on over 😊and sheer a few of Sandi’s sheep.
Bonjour Monsieur .. absolutely beautiful documentary updated resume countryside content video and you nailed it again, keep it up Sir .. Merci beaucoup Bon weekend Monsieur
Great video. That must gum up your shears . 👍👍😁
This was interesting, especially seeing the breed differences appear as you sheared
Still voting for teeswater & herdwicks as next breeds to shear. 😉
Well done Cammy, tough job shearing those massive sheep, mind your back lifting like that.
Brilliant self play-by-play. Definate summer tournament vibes!!♧
Thank you for another lovely video! These are so enjoyable to watch - not only because you do a splendid job shearing the sheepies, but also because you're so calm and entertaining while doing so.
What beautiful animals. Thanks for shearing 🐑
Hi Cami I don’t think the beltex is the prettiest sheep but boy I would sure love to have a leg of lamb from one of them would feed a crowd I bet
Beauties is stretching it a bit. Beltex's have faces only a mother could love.
Oh my they are huge! ❤️🇦🇺🏴
Morning! Questions, do Beltex generally have more Lanolin? Are the numbers of Beltex and Textles increasing? Thanks!
Not sure to be honest! This breed does have close wool and combined with the time of year made them quite sticky. Both very popular breeds now
I would love to see you shear one of the welsh breeds. a torwen/torddu, balwen or welsh mountain
Good job Cammy. You always make it look easy.
Wonderful sheep , you wouldn't want to do a lot of them in one go
Love watching you from Down Under 🇦🇺 you're hilarious!
Good job cam is what a great video 👍❤️
I'm throwing Blue Faced Leicester and Coburg fox into the ring as suggestions!
Cammy why are some sheep sticky like this in general and some just peel off. Is this to do with age / time of year and lactation.
Part of the breeds characteristics, but also the time of year. As the weather warms, it brings out the lanolin make them easier to shear! 👍
Cammy this channel is fun!
These sheep are very thick with wool. You have done a great job.👍
That ram 🐏 is a good boy
If your ever in the area (Lancashire) you are welcome to come and give me some tips and shear some of the most Northern Devon Closewools, some of the very few German Red Fox in the country alongside Whitefaced Woodlands and Derbyshire Gritstones 👌🏽😂
Reminds me of my first army haircut 😅
❤😂😢great beautiful pictures 📸 📷 🖼
My gosh, im surprised i havent seen these sheep being ridden into battle in lord of the rings! The size of them!!!😶😶😶
Супер молодец. Быстро и чисто.
When you say they are sticky, is that due to dirt, or lanolin, or just very short wool?
The wool is tighter to the skin in this breed, plus the lanolin at this time of year, makes it trickier to come off! 👍
This is a sheepdogsheep. It protects the pack of sheepdog, which in turn protect the sheep.
Ole boy is Str8 Diesel!!
The Beyoncé of sheep :D
Wonderful video! ❤❤❤
Love your show👍
Well done. Cheers 👍
That was impressive!
From my minute knowledge of sheep, is that lanolin or is it something else you said was sticky? Maybe a Shetland sheep as a suggestion.❤My bright pink hoodie has been admired by the way…they are telling me I’m obsessed.. yup they are right❤️
I'm also wondering why they're more sticky.
I was going to ask the same thing.
Combination of the breed characteristics and the lanolin, yes. The warmer weather will bring out the lanolin making it a bit easier, so sheared these a little bit early. 💪
Holy smokes those are brawny animals! How much did that ram weigh? When you did the lift, I grunted but I still hurt my back, now I need a heating pad! Lol. Man, I do not know how you do those lifts and holds on them. Beautiful shearing on those Beltex. Love ur videos. I loved seeing that very cute lamb in the blue running with the other lambs………Jock is adorable out there amongst them!
Very good.
영상 잘보고있어요~😊
당신농장양들은 근육이대단해서 옷을벗겨보니 코뿔소같아요
놀라워요
Great video
The fella should be Jim Kardashion
I've never seen a sheep look so much like a pitbull
Black welsh mountain you have to shear pls :D
Love every video you do Cammie, so no worries on that score. What about a Greyface Dartmoor for a good shearing video. Can you give the wonderful Lizzie, Jock & Angus and of course yourself a kiss from me ♥️💙💙💙
Baby got back.
Love watching your work. Look after your back, and you could make a few bob out here in East Gippsland, Victoria, Australia.
A boy Cammy another good video 👍.
The wool was a bit sticky alright, probably could have done with another week. You did well not to nick them.
You look like a tv present at the start chasing the camera, waving your hands like a crazy person 😂😂
Amazing sheep, Pitbull sheep
I would like to see a Herdwick. I love this breed. Thank you.
Interesting vid. I would love to see you Bust into a flock of Merino sheep.
Maybe a Shropshire
Wow! I know you're really good, but electric shears have come a long way from my day 30 years ago! Great job!
Cammie, I'd love to see you shear a Wensleydale xx
Blimey they were real units..
Your so gentle with them..
Personally I think you need to be more you when commentating 😊
Love these shearing videos. So question...her skin looked so irritated...way before you started. Is that normal skin color or do sheep get allegies??
Just natural, she was quite excited as you can seen, and combine that with the Ram being around, her blood was pumping! 👍
Cammie you may find the Beltex a bit easier as a lambing sire, as the lambs tend to come out a bit smaller.
Belted are shape like bulldogs!
I love the info about the breed as you sheer. Are you going to do any hair sheep? I know the tend to shed themselves but is there any instance when you would need to sheer?
We will have to see what comes up, trying to give every breed in the UK a go, we may be some time! 😉
They look like the pit bull of sheep.
Do a merino next. Beltex are amazing sheep!
Interesting
Cheeked up sheep.
Did you have fun Cammy? Definitely didn’t lack for big butts in this one, right?! 🤣🤦♀️♥️
Always! 🙌
As someone who loves working with fiber, I love these videos. Would it be possible for you to tell us how each fleece will be used? I would love to see you shear a sheep and then tell us, ‘This breeds fleece is used for… (whatever)’
They all go to a central location for sorting, so impossible to track I'm afraid!
I've only ever seen the double muscled beef cattle. What a neat breed! Were they originally bred from Texels? Their faces look very similar. Between that and the -tex in the breed name, I couldn't help wondering. But I'm just an enthusiast. Not an expert.
Texel's developed in Belgium! 😉
