Fun fact: the reason the body tracking came out so terrible is that the multiplayer framework we were using (NormCore) would crash whenever we tried to track more than 10 bones at a time on any given body. We only found this out on the very last day of development and there was no way to fix it.
There was only one thing we could do - paralyze most of our body to get the app to work. So what you see here is what human movement would like if we could only move 10 bones.

We're having fun with a monster we've built for an Oculus Quest game where Android has a bone limit of 75 per container currently... God damn bones.

Hey, why did the “multiplayer” thing not work? All I know is HTML, CSS, and JS, but if you are able to convert the bones to numbers or strings and successfully convert them back I’m sure there are alternatives. I literally just made custom multiplayer for my own video game (which is at SurvivalLands.app/ ) and it just sends the player’s X position and a few other variables. If you can send them like that to a server, it shouldn’t be an issue by ANY means. If you can make your own socket.io server then you might be able to make it work!

I'm confused, did you end up using the LIDAR sensor from the iPad or just normal photogrammetry supervised God Azad?

Normal photogrammetry! The Lidar scans didn't look good enough up close. I tried getting into my approach on the video, but the photogrammetry section was already 2x as long as all the others, so I had to cut it away for pacing!
I used a wide-lens DSLR camera for the photography (around 180~ for each environment) and Reality Capture for the synthesis. Had to do a bit of trial and error but eventually got it right! I might do a Patreon-exclusive video on it one day.
@@LucasRizzotto I thought the Lidar scan would be more helpful. Anyway, shortcuts have costs :).
I've been using Meshroom but the results are not great either, I'll take a look at Reality Capture maybe that's the answer.

@@panspie It is getting better every month with every software update, though! It'll reach photogrammetry levels soon, but right now the old ways are still king :)
RC def is better than Meshroom. I started out with Meshroom but RC's results were so much better. Just be sure to get it from Steam, their subscription there is more affordable than what you can get on their website.
