To me, it's the Bowman Chrome 2017 that got me back into collecting that has to be the sleekest, clearest, and most photogenic set to date. Even the Paper variations just hit right. But that SP Bowman oh yeah that's it, baby, that's just a hot and wet card orgasm. I definitely gotta get my hands on one of those soon. I'll likely wind up getting the whole 2017 Bowman Chrome base set being a couple good rookies in that one; Bregman, Benintendi, Swanson, and Judge have all been solid major-league contributors. There are a few other minor likable fringe guys in there as well like Jordan Montgomery, Manny Margot, Hunter Renfroe, Jorge Alfaro, and Tyler Glasnow plus there's still the mystery that is Cody Bellinger. Counting Yuli Gurriel there are already five rookies in that set that contributed to a World Series title! Bregman, Benintendi, Bellinger, Gurriel, and Swanson. Two MVPs and counting. Bregman is likely to pick one up at some point. You can't rule Judge out from getting another he's got a few prime years left to destroy baseballs. Judge with two historic seasons already and even his injured years he's still putting up better production than most. If he follows up 2022 with at least a 2021 encore performance and does not fall off the map like Bellinger then it's time to move the chips ALL IN. Not overly concerned with the FA contract Judge is a household Superstar at this point. Bro is doing late-night appearances on both Coasts. Non-baseball fans were in the pubs watching Judge chase 62 so no matter where he goes the TV cameras will be there and people will tune in to watch. He has as Trumps says, "Got that Casting Face." And the only ones that can even seriously entertain signing him are all the contenders you've mentioned. The Royals can offer Judge a million per game he's not going to sign there because they're not contending now even in a weak division. The money says Hal finds some change in the couch and signs Judge. A real contender would have to go well over the 337M already said to be offered IMO for Judge to leave NY. He's not leaving NY for 50M more. San Fran or LA would have to go 425 at least to budge Judge out of NY they don't have that kind of balls. And even then the Yankees made off like robbers this season with the Maris Chase promotions. You don't think they'll up to 375-400M and add a few years to keep that meal ticket knowing there are likely two more 50+ HR seasons in that BEAST. And if one of them even sniffs at Bonds' 73 💰💰💰

In my life I’ve never seen a player that big that’s a 5 tool Player it reminds me of when Herman Munster played for the Yankees he’s an oddity hof or not I’ll always appreciate him the same way I do someone like Bo Jackson.

Good stuff Tyler! POWER SELLS in the hobby! Long term...I would be all over Judge right now if he was just 2-3 yrs younger. He popped kinda late for a prospect at 24 yrs old. Even if he breaks Maris' record, what will his stat line look like in the end being already 30 yrs old 215 HRs and 35 WAR? Look at what Maris RC go for. Long term, Judge will have to hit 30-40 HRs for the next 5-7 yrs to get him to the upper echelon HOF power hitters thus making him relevant once he is off the field (obviously breaking Maris' record will always make him relative). He could easily do that but the injury concern always concerns me. Short term...great flip for 2022 and maybe even the start of 2023 but I am not sure I would be buying now to flip short term, seems like that ship has sailed. Long term....I would need to see a few more healthy years at this production level.
That's my thoughts exactly! He's a solid short term flip going into 2023 but there is so much stacked up against them. He basically needs to be 40HR per year for another 7-8 years to make this plan work, unless we are able to see ~3 years where he's 50+ HR to establish a strong peak. Lots of things stacked against him but it will be interesting to see it unfold

Definitley have had some luck cracking! Cracking for sure vs submitting as a crossover. I actually just cracked a GAI 10 then just came back a PSA 10...and it's a monster, at least I think it's a 10 based on the what if lookup trick. I'm hoping it stays

I myself was eyeing a 2017 Topps Chrome green refractor SP image variation for $200 buy-it-now around that time but never pulled the trigger. And now I'm kicking myself in the butt for it. That being said, I do think his key cards are still worth buying at this point as I believe they are still a little bit on the low side.
Should i grade the Aaron Judge 2017 Topps update Aaron Judge SSP fist bump auto or sell raw? It won’t grade high (6/7 range), but i got it very cheap. I know that i can easily double my money because the seller i brought from didn’t know how rare it is
if its going to get a 6/7 then just sell it raw. If the card is in bad condition, the only reason to grade would be authentication and no one is make fake Aaron Judge cards
I actually would grade it, mainly to ensure that you don't keep getting the card returned. If it were a cheap card I wouldn't worry about it but the grade/slab will protect you from any issues. Probably could sneak it in a bulk once it drops below $20 and you will be okay
I think Judge is a sell now, but buy raw to grade to sell ST. Sammy & Macs markets plummeted after the juice. From 98-02, they pretty much ruled the hobby until a bigger juicer came along

Thanks Mick. I agree with you it's a complete long shot based on his unpredictability. The counting stats are absolutely under pressure. His peak numbers have to be otherworldly to compensate. This year is a career year for anyone in the HOF, and his 2017 is a solid #2. He needs 3-4 more years of 45+ near 1.000 OPS IMO. But FOMO is real and I'm buying at least for the short term to grade

Wow that's weird. My eBay searches lately have been super wonky. Like I'll search for a term and then all of the sudden it auto corrects it to something totally different, let alone what you said where you search for it and it doesn't even show up but it is on their platform
