#freedomwriters #hillaryswank #iconic
I was fortunate enough to have a teacher like that..I graduated in 99 and her and I are still good friends and even friends of fb lol..she knows everything about me and prays for my daughters success ,same way she prayed for mine...I'm 39, but everytime I talk to her, I feel like I'm a little girl, still in junior class, struggling to just fit in..she reminds me of how amazing i really am, almost daily .. I pray every child, every being, gets to be treated with respect, dignity and compassion, no matter who they are, what they wear, the color of their skin and demographics!
Please can someone share the link to full movie for me to watch it?
That’s truly amazing I hope everything is still going great!
Wow so beautiful I wish I had a teacher like that 🥺💯
had a teacher like this too, never had a chance to even thank her cause i didnt see her at my graduation.
Everyone in this iconic movie had a realistic character development
Probably because it is based on a real story. Idk if that's what you meant but yeh.
@@bloodymoon7315 but project every character development in a 2 hour movie is very impressive
“That don’t fly ma” ......it’s a sign of respect
If i was in her position I'd start crying on the spot. To go through all that effort to break down barriers with stubborn war-hardened teenagers and not just get them to cooperate, but openly respect? When there was a previous scene where she was arguing with them about earning respect? TEARS, i tell you
Teachers like her are so rare, especially in bad neighbourhoods.
Ngl if I had her as a teacher, I would cry everyday I go to school, tears of happiness
it can put a bounce in one's step, iinookie.
That line game - “we aint so different from one another after all”
i watched this movie when i was in 8th grade, together with all my classmates. my english teacher presented this movie to us and we all were intrigued by it. we didn't expect the movie to be this good and inspiring, we even get to continue the movie on lunch breaks! (because we keep pausing since each class ends in 40 minutes)
coming back here to refresh the memories, this movie is a 10/10!
Hi, I’m also in 8th grade and it’s our last week. We’re still watching this and it’s AMAZING! My English teacher also got this movie for us.
She does reminde of my 5th grade teacher....she was old school lol! She cared so much ahe gave little speeches, when someone was upset or angry....She was my momma teacher, and was the best!!
This movie is why I went to college for teaching.
This tells so much of the real world it tells what’s going on now what we have been going threw and all I really love this movie😭😭😭😭
that was deep
This movie deserves more recognition!
this movie was my childhood, I love it
I love it, its a great movie
I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH, I watched it for the first time in an English class and I fell in love immediately 😭💗
She is the teacher I deserved on high school.
Follow me on insta if you want: veniceb0y
I wish everyone had a chance to experience someone like her
I love this movie
It's literally the SAME movie as Dangerous Minds. No, the inner city schools don't need a white savior. They need their own communities to care.
@@chaunybuck6065 dangerous minds was so exagerated lol, this is a true story.
@@justamood3077 they r BOTH true stories! Dangerous minds is from the book by luann Johnson who was a marine turned teacher at an inner city school. This movie has been made over and over again starting in 1955. Dangerous minds and freedom writers should have never been made. Cliche white savior comes and saves the inner city kids. It's soooo🤦🏻♀️
Bro my mom hates this movie but I love it so much. It makes me cry every time
Why does she hate it
@@sur_eal perhaps she doesn't want to cry and be vulnerable for a moment
my favourite movie ever
This is why I will always be an advocate for education. If only I had money to help and educate.
Really good movie
Anyone notice kyler from cobra Kai is in this classroom
Which one is kyler
@@Ant_5350 he is like in the back left of the class
Of course, I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I always had a feelin’ that was Joe Seo.
Seems they put two Karate Kid/Cobra Kai characters in this film. Julie Pierce (The Next Karate Kid) and Kyler Park (Cobra Kai).
everyone need to be in this movie maze runner death cure
Marcus my cousin let me know if y’all wanna talk to him fr💯

oh my- we had to study this film for english- it was such a good movie... but it was a comparative to a book-
I have the same feeling when i deal with interns in my work, patient as a mf
ong tito is hot 🥵🥵🥵🥵
Some teachers just there for the check and it shows. The ones that let the kids speak when they wonted to and joke around we still love them they make our youth a little better.
3:42 why the fuck would she think they were literally calling her mom? lmao she's not that much older than them.
the children are supposed to be 14/15 year olds in the movie and i'm pretty sure she's supposed to be in her 30s or something
lmao she’s like 20 years older than them and she’s white so obviously she would assume they’d be calling her ‘mom’ because the word is similar.
You must be slow or something... Who TF calls someone who isn't their mom "ma?."
@@flwrdenwtf does being white have anything to do with it? Oh yes because the amount of melanin in a person skin determines everything about their personality and what kind of slang they are allowed to know right?
She's older and not from the ghetto.
What ever happened to jason finn?
2:05 bunch of poseurs
Kyler from Cobra Kai is at 1:45 , 2:11 , 2:49 , 3:13
Ironically, Hilary Swank may appear in Cobra Kai.
Is this any different from Dangerous minds? Lol
Why you are not talking about slavery , black ancestors work so hard and suffer, you have to honor their memories. The following generations should always keep that in mind.. Read Malcolm x.. Amazing biography. I am an Arabic Muslim immigrant in Canada. Kids, you have everything to succeed ,just don't lose focus on your objective, no matter what happens, to stay on the track!!
The Simpsons ❤❤🎉😮😊.
Now they’re saying in schools to not show these movies lol which I think is ridiculous
Weirdo, used the word Queen here ! 😂
