Less than a month to go guys. Hang in there lads we got this! The preview build is officially closed off sad times. We do have around 12 hours of footage overall though so we'll try to use different clips to keep things more interesting for our other videos and not use the same footage over & over! What's stood out to you guys from everything you've seen so far? Other than Sarah is Mafia bae.. of course

Thanks for your video. its very hard to wait another month, especially when we see how beautiful this game is and also as we know this game should be released today but they had too much work to do. I hope that somehow the time will go faster but every day is going so slow and i spent about 200 hours watching all mafia youtubers, this waiting makes me so sick but hopefully next weeks will go quicker.

I’m very excited for this game, but I wish thing’s like shops and restaurants were enterable, and served a purpose. Hanger 13 need’s to understand that all these small details add up to a living, breathing city. Even GTA 4 had working hotdog stands, and that game is over a decade old.
they could've done it if only 2K lets them. Hangar 13's development was very short.
I just played through all of Mafia 2 and even though it’s a pretty linear game all those little shops and small freedom and open world made it one of the best games I’ve ever played. That’s what I was really hoping for with this one

I like how in regular cutscenes the camera is static with some smooth movements, and in action-y parts of the story the camera behaves as if someone is holding it. Hangar 13 is one to make amazing cutscenes and dialogue.

@@TripleADigest And I can tell with the remake they unleash a lot more of their potential than they could do with Mafia 3. I'm so hyped for this game (and trust me, I barely ever feel hyped for a game anymore!)

No i think not coz' the best mafia game was 1 and 2 was good 3 was ok but was worst of them all and thats coz' Dan Vávra was doin like all the story and things in 1 and 2 but in 3 he was not involved he was doin even like better physics and ideas so yeah and he is not plannin on commin back i think so thats why it wont happen

You used to be able to interact with every npc in the original
MOGUL well not every NPC in the remake but people can still talk to you.
Nicolas M those things wish they added in mafia remake but it’s fine though because mafia original didn’t have a lot of that.
Nicolas M also being able to use the tram or the elevated train as passenger. American developers weren’t able to put it together in Mafia 2 and 3, Czechs did that almost 20 years ago

Hey thanks! Usually we would make a unique intro to each video we do. But people seem to love this intro too much that everytime we do something else it's like "You changed the intro. Why you do dis?" haha So for Mafia 1 it shall stay.

I learned from how immersive The Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2 is never skip a journey you might miss an encounter I really hope Mafia adds more interaction.
This is all amazing features you mentioned I’m so glad there sticking to the original for the most part I hope in the final build of the game we can maybe enter the trams in tracks I Hurd hanger 13 might add that in the game so who knows but I would love customization options in the game like clothing stores but I know we not getting that so it’s fine long as we have a bunch of outfit options in the game at least and and maybe places to eat as well but everything else in the game looks straight phenomenal.
Yeah little small things added to the city would have been nice but it wasn't to be. I do hope they learn from that going forward because people like yourself seem to love little features like that.

The cigarette cards given backstories of different characters Throughout the series is seriously a great collectible idea. Big kudos to hangar 13 for that one. Because I genuinely got excited everytime I found one like the damn mafia nerd I am.

I am so excited to get this game. I’ve completed both Mafia 2 and Mafia 3, but I only briefly played Mafia 1 at a friend’s house when I was a kid. Now to finally get to play it, with a modern level of quality, I’m so hyped.

I love how the cop on the radio has an accent of an Irishman really adds on to the realism of the setting
Yeah the accents are nice in the remake. I've liked them. Even the announcer during the race sounded great.

Yeah classic turns those off don't worry there. I tried on normal just to see the differences and the UI indicators are so immersion breaking I'm so thankful for classic mode. Glad we could help!

I was struggling on deciding to buy Mafia definitive edition or avengers, as I am a huge marvel fan and fan of the mafia trilogy. I have finally came to the decision to get mafia! I can't wait to play through it again! :)
Very cool. You'd probably get more play time outta avengers if you're big marvel fan but overall Mafia's story will leave a lasting impact if you haven't played the original! Hope you enjoy it :)

Yeah we would show the full list but obviously for the preview build it wouldn't give us full access to view the achievements we got or the locked ones. Whatever we showed in the video that's all we can show for now but we kept others in mind when they popped.

A bit off-topic but I didn't see anyone doing this and seeing as you're a channel that knows a thing or ten about the OG game: did you try to see if some easter eggs from the OG were in the remake during your playthrough of the preview build? Like checking if you could pick up Sarah at the spot where she would get into your car linearly in Running Man or shooting the window on the raising bridge for the Bolt Thrower?
The Sarah pick up we did try that wasn't a thing on the preview build although we didn't try on our other playthroughs! The shooting the window on the raising bridge for the Bolt Thrower we did not try sadly. We didn't exactly know how long we had access to the game so we prioritized other things. I will keep an eye on that for that if we play the full game early though!
I will say though the game did have some nice new easter eggs or small details. That I only started to find on my second playthrough. So it has some cool little moments for players with a keen eye!

Is the car charge/ram mechanic available when playing on the Classic difficulty? And if so, is it necessary to use? Will we be at a major disadvantage or even blocked from progression for not using it?
There will be a way to change outfits guaranteed, I saw on the GameStop website that a pre-order bonus gives you a white outfit and white car, I believe it was called the Chicago pack.

Can you change difficulty settings throughout the campaign or once you select one it's set that way for the whole game? So for example go to easy mode for the timed driving missions but go back to classical mode for everything else? I want classical mode for the gunplay etc but I absolutely hateee driving missions especially timed ones. I would want to quickly switch to easy for those just to get them over with.
You can change the difficulty up & down anytime you want yeah.

Definitely gonna be excited to go to freeride mode to explore the open world its one thing i liked about Mafia III having free roam and the side missions cause i could analyze the world while playing lol
Freeride was always a fun option. Yeah I wasted too much time on the preview just looking at random stuff too I feel that

I got a question, when you use one of your vehicles from your garage then leave it out there, is there a way you can recover it or will you just end up losing it? I’m worried I might do a mission, and let’s just say I’m forced to abandon that car from my collection and I’m worried I will lose the car.
It'll end up back in your garage. You won't lose your car no worries!

What difficulty would you recommend for someone who is a fan of both Mafia 1 and 2 (2 playing on hard)? I want the traffic laws to be heavy but maybe not the race timer be so short (at least not on my first run).
Yeah Hard would be a good start for your first run. The timers won't be too strict and you should have fun with that challenge!

StepKickKing Apparently some collectibles are locked behind missions kind like the playboy magazines from M2.
I love the game tried at maximum to stay faithful to the original and updated interface, graphics and features like Mafia II. I'm expecting high res Vito and Joe in the end, maybe in regular clothes this time 🤣

The story doesn't have a currency. You won't see your earnings go up after major missions or anything it's just assumed Tommy has Money being in the family. Free ride mode should have a currency because that's part of the fun of that mode. Although we didn't get to play free ride to confirm!
When you played the game did u notice if the game had a hud like Mafia 3 or does it have a more simpler one

Free ride was blocked from the preview build sadly! We only got to play five chapters in the story mode.

I have loved playing this on the Series X. Not even in a hurry to rush through it, as they did such a good job here. Makes me imagine a San Andreas remaster of this quality
On Steam I saw a pre order bonus, which included a car and an outfit, so I'm guessing you can change the protagonist's (Tommy's) clothes, but probably only during 'Free Ride/free mode'.
Do you know what can we do in free ride mode? There’s random encounters like rockstar games? I made a pre order btw
Eloy Daniel I can’t say for certain, but my guess is that free ride is basically the same as normal mode, except that you don’t have a mission marker on the map. The wardrobe in the restaurant becomes available, where you can change clothing. Hopefully free ride saves the cars you put in the garage, so you have them available in story missions as well. For instance, if you own any Mafia game, they’ll add the main car from that game, to this one. The Chevrolet Corvette from Mafia 2 definitive edition is added to you garage.
This game might even be better than mafia 2 if done right!

One bad thing I noticed is, car damage is minimal, like in mafia 3, there is no metal bending, parts falling of like in original when you ram into things, I hope they change that till the launch or with future patch. Fans will appreciate it, this game deserves 110% developer treatment, not 90%
They do take damage on classic mode a lot of the cars when crash take a whole lot of damage from the play throughs I’ve seen on classic so I think we have that.
Cars do take full damage, it maybe only happens in simulation mode though. Its much similar to mafia 2
@@VeyronBD hope you're right, if you ask me, environmental destructability is main thing in games nowadays, it gives that realistic feel, and memorable action sequences, other thing I saw was whem you ram with bike in something, nothing happens, Tommy stays on the bike, he doesn't fall of even at higher speeds, its ridiculous to see that kind of thing in 2020 game, especially in classic like Mafia 1

They didn't release a full achievement list. If you clicked on the games achievements to view all it blocked people from viewing all of them due to being a preview build. So all we could see was what we show briefly in this video or what popped up on steam when we got an achievement. When we know the full list we'll let you know!

The skip drive feature will probably make the game 2-3 hours. That's one thing I remember about Mafia 1 was how much time you spent driving.

I love the Mafia 2 and 3. I never played Mafia 1 as I was just a kid. My only criticism is that it dosent encourage you to free roam they'd rather you just play the missions that's something that Rockstar are better at. (i havent played the redevelopment versions so this might of been fixed)
This was a great surprise announcement for me. I stumbled upon this last night. I guess I was distracted by Marvel's Avengers. Looks like I will be getting 2 games this coming month. But my copy of Marvel's Avengers is being delayed. If the review scores are bad. One less game this month. 😊

hm its interesting is there Lincoln Clay on the collectible cards? mafia 1 is in 1930 and mafia 3 is in 1968 so thats 38 years later. So it means that in Mafia 1 lincoln wasn't even born because he looks like 20-30 years old guy in mafia 3.
Lincoln Clay doesn't have a card no. The cards revolve around characters from the series that are active in the mob life during the 1930's so it fits. You get cards like Sammy & Sal Marcano from Mafia III who are younger men in the 1930's. Then you get characters like Carlo & Leo from Mafia II etc.

They did an exelent job on this . What they need to do now is add the cut content to mafia 2 and create a new Mafia 3

Hey guys! How do you pay driving tickets? In another video you guys talked about the game not having a in-game economy. You don't make money you just assume your needs are being taken care off by Salieri. So, what's the real penalty when cops pull you over? Do they just stop you followed by an animation and... that's it? You don't have to pay or lose money in any way?
You don't have an actual money counter during the story no. So Tommy will pay the fine with money that you just assume he has plenty of being in the family. There is no real penalty for lower star crimes other than you having to stop and obey the polices order. It almost works as a warning system but you don't lose money. The penalty comes with an arrest if you resist or refuse to pull over though. Which leads to a game over.

Why is this game less priced ? Is it due to the reason that it's a remake or does it present less features that other games ? Is it a 3A production or less ? Graphics look from nice to very good at times ,gameplay seems improved ,cutscenes are well made and I know for a fact that the story is a blast. It is also an rpg game ,open world to explore etc so it must be at least 30 hours to beat ,does anyone know about the length of the game or if it's missing something production wise ? Because I pre-ordered it and I will play it, I just want to know if there is a catch to it that's all.
